I just asked myself if my plants wasnt going to outgrow thier pots in flower
But i cant transplant anymore because plants will get too tall

Theyre now in 15L pots when i fully saturate it takes 3-4 days for them to drink it all up i just dont want to reduce my yield because i fucked something up

I got 3 Indicas standing on the right theyre not too important just a little side project but
I might just need to flip a little sooner than i thought what do you think?
Need help when should i flip 2

If I’m using 5 gallon pots or even 3 gallon I will veg for a month and then flip. If the plants are a foot or more high they are tall enough. Usually a plant will stretch being double the size they are in veg.

If I’m using clones I’ll take my clone out of a solo cup I clone in and put it in the final 5 gallon pot and wait a month for it to fill out its new space. Top a week or two into the veg cycle and you should have a stout sturdy indica with good branching for tops when you flip.

If you veg for over a month I’ve found it is a waste of time for 5 gallon pots and you are teetering on the edge of having to small of a container. If you use fabric pots the roots will air prune so you don’t have to worry too much. Anything after 2 month veg in a fabric pot of 5 gallons is pushing your container later down the road in flower.

Your training is looking good your plants could be flipped right now if you wanted to. Of course take some clones if you got another tent to do so. It’s a good step before the light flip. If you don’t have room skip making clones.

I have only grown for a bit over a year so far😄
I recently found my method with the gh tripart so ratios are on point

Right now i dont have room for clones got this tent and a 60x60 closet with some other plants in it

But can you really fill a 5 gallon pot in a month?!?!

It would take me about two months
These two Gorilla zkittlez from Barneys farm really sweet strain btw grew it once before turned out dank

But anyways theyre 72 days today
So a bit over 2 months you see

I started them from seed in 1/4 gal
Then put em in 1,5 gal
And then at last 4 gal

Please note that i could have done it a little bit faster had to keep them in the 1/4 gals a bit longer maybe a week or two due to lack of space

Hmm I usually have clones in the nursery tent rocking ready to go getting fed nutrients even though they’re in solo cups. So like they’re rocking. I keep ppfd low like 150 so they’re not growing to hard for their container. So the clones could be in there a few weeks before I get room in veg. After transplant to 5 gallon and they’re shock is gone I’ll up the ppfd to 400 then top and then after I see new growth ramp it up to 600 ppfd.

If they’re not as wide as the container with a few new nodes after I topped I’ll go more than a month of veg.

These I had in 5 gallons for a month and a week then I flipped

Ah I also feed fox farm nutrients. You got to have decent dry back as well for explosive growth in veg I’ve found. Towards the end of the month in the 5 gallon you’ll be watering every other day. The first few weeks it’ll be twice a week

These have been in the 5 gallons since 9/11 and are ready to flip soon. They were in solo cups for awhile but healthy and happy not root bound

I flip when I have 50% floor coverage of my flowering space. If you're flowering in that tent, I would have flipped 10 days ago. I'd flip 'em now.
I like to flip when the tent is completely full and then let them grow upwards and defoliate as they grow taller

This is very impressive i always love to hear how people make it work

Id love to see those fill that tent
i just like to have a nice sea of green before i flip so i maximise yield

Next grow im going to do a few more smaller plants so far i have only done fewer bigger ones cuz its easier to manage and i still confuse myself in all of this shit sometimes but im getting pretty good at it id say
This here was some of my last harvest i made 210g in a 2x4 and 90g in my closet thats 2x2
I laid down my tent so now its almost 2x6 i hope for a bit more this run👊

Well-done dude very impressive yeild per sq ft hoping for something similar myself if I can keep ontop of the jungle😂 laying down the teant is an interesting method are you not concerned about light height above canopy or do you have good airflow to prevent heat build-up?

I have a tower fan hanging in there and a clip fan seems to do the job

Right the plants can get about 20cm taller before im going to notice any stress
so its going to be tight but i tend to train the fuck out of my plants so its usually not a problem

You’re doing great that’s a good yield. How many plants did you run in your 2x4. When I ran one that size I did 4 plants it was such a squeeze now that I think about it I’m kind of always trying to fit the most plants I can.

I do this because an extra plant where they get 2 zips usually or more per plant means no fine tuning for extra grams on a yield just add a plant for 56 more

When i made 210 gs in my 2x4 i had 2 plants in 4 gallons

I did that with a 240 watt preeetty old mars hydro lamp i bought used
the spectrum wasnt that good either

I recently got 2 new lights in there
2x Viparspectra xs1500 pro
They are killer im telling you
It doesnt matter how much i fuckup a plant buds always comes out dense
And frosty

So im very Excited to see how this run is gonna go

I just flipped the tent to 12/12 yesterday
So now it all begins

I also thought about the thing you said about i should start cloning

I just need a bit more space
So i can have an aeroponic cloner
That would almost guarantee healthy clones by second week of flower

Then i can put them over in my tent when its done flowering and scrog the fuck out of the clones

Even give away a few to aa good friend of mine would be cool asf

And being able to visit someone who got plants and just pick a few clones from thier garden and take em home

That’s a nifty idea find a good buddy and keep your keepers between you. I just clone veg then take a clone and the cycle continues. I haven’t seen diminishing returns yet
