No its not. Its about the same as a DE hps and plenty of people use that in a 4x4. You can always dim the light and then you have more power if you need it

You are right about that. Maybe. Try 2 sp6500 in a 5x5.

Oh you can get a lux meter for your phone too. I know its not PPFD and it doesnt measure uv or ir but it will at least give you an idea of how intense tour light it. On average you want 5000-8000 lux for seedlings/young clones, 25,000 lux for early veg, 45,000 lux for full veg and its recommended not to go over 84,000 lux in flower. Having said that, its very strain dependent as ive have strains under 140,000 lux no problem. Again i know it doesnt measure spectrum but it gives you a rough idea

Naaaa brother i got a par meter. I can make it all happen if i want. In a 4x4 i have about 600 or 640 watts. I dont think its enough. I feel i need almost 800-1000. But 2 6500 have to go in a 5x5 turned down. Im not sure.

Ok cool. I use a full spectrometer /ppfd meter simply because par meters do not measure uv or ir. Only visible. But a par meter = 100 bucks and a quantum light meter is 2000plus. Just remember leds have penetration. Most of the time when people think they have light burn, its actually heat burn from the light temp not intensity. They dont realise that the canopy get hotter than the ambient temperature. And besides, youve got enough height in the tent when using leds. If its too intense either dim them of raise them. Usually raising them gives much more uniform coverage over dimming but you also pay for the extra power, so its a personal choice.

2 sp3000s will do a 4x4 really nicely. Each bar covers a 2x4 footprint. The 6500s cover a 2x5 if i remember correctly, so wouldnt that give you a 4x5 coverage?

Yeah but with all the light and diodes im sure that 2x5 isnt that accurate. Its a strong light.

I just checked and the sp6500 is listed as a 3x6 veg and 3x5 flower. That makes more sense to me.
