Both really but lighting plays the biggest role. Give me a low down on how you start and finish your ladies. For ex. what kind of lighting you use and in what stage. We'll get those nodes to space much tighter in no time. Just need a little info from you

genetics & use seaweed and foliar it in veg from the start every few days. Ample lighting will be fine but pinner lighting will produce length between internodes on most genetics.

I put a 400 mh in my veg room & keep it going 24/7. The plants grow so fast, I can hardly keep up.

this is what i do, only i use a 4ft 8 bulb T5 on new transplants and then after 2 wks they go under a 400 HPS to MH conversion bulb. love my results
