Needing advice on some flower please

Hello there, I hope everyone is having a phenomenal Halloween season, just needing a little advice on whether or not this flower is mouldy or not as I’m a smoker & have been now for many many years but since 2 years ago my small town here in the UK is just full of absolute rubbish flower & it’s really taken a toll on my health as a whole & mental health as I did originally use flower as a self medication for my awful anxiety & due to how bad the flower has got down this way I haven’t been the same since due to not being able to find a trustable and genuine source, there’s most definitely something wrong with the flower as a get go because it has that “hay” type smell on most of the stuff this person has, I don’t want to feel as if I’m going crazy because it seems 95% of the stuff he gets doesn’t seem right, the structure, the feel, the smell etc, I’d love to know someone else’s opinion on this as I do try to explain it to others in person but they’re not as “cannabis savvy” as myself, thank you ever so much & I hope to hear from somebody, take care! The bad stuff just badly grown or dried. Often can't make out a single calyx and it looks like a solid mass with no actual structure, early harvest or just badly trimmed and dried even bad grow where the calyxs never swelled up.

I see purple and that's always stress although some with a slight tint here and there seems really good anything more than a splattering isn't.

Feel a lot of strains mask their lack of potency or crappyness with the taste and smell, cherry pie X popcorn something was tasty if you put lots in but didn't get you very high, sold as £40 an eight then next week some £30 stuff comes in beats it flat down.

The main reason to grow and get good, yours will easily sell and you won't have to smoke crap. There's loads with a moist mouldy taste that gives a real bad high, my friends take whatever I rarely buy except the exceptional stuff out of interest.

Our market is pretty good, top prices, little competition and a lot of buyers. You can easily rise to the top of that with good grows even small scale in a small tent with few hundred watts. Imagine others who can't get good weed and you pull up offering a constant supply of grade A bud....

Your bud looks real bad considering, I made a point of going without if that's all I could get

Agree. I'm partial to sun grown weed, over indoors. Not that I'd never got fire from a tent, but there's something to weed grown under the sun, that can't be matched any other way

I don't care for dispo weed either, with all their additives n such.

Now it's Burger King....having it my way, and enjoying copus amounts of weed at the same time.

I'm actually getting full night's of sleep again, and not waking up feeling like shite anymore.

Its hard to say from the video but it looks pretty bad. I was actually just watching a thing on YouTube talking about how alot of the weed in the U.K. is grit weed which is contaminated or sprayed with all sorts of nasty stuff. If its making you feel funny I'd stop smoking that shite. You can really fuck yourself up smoking something like that. Get you a nice little tent and get to work. You won't regret it! Lots of good info and people willing to help on here.

Thanks ever so much for your comment brother, it’s definitely very bad and has been since 2020 from “local suppliers” I did end up quitting after toking for 14 years due to the quality and the headaches but luckily in 2021 I found someone via another platform that I was purchasing from through the post but sadly those people don’t last very long and end up doing other things so therefore I had no choice to try the local guys again and well… as you can tell.. it’s still the same , I appreciate your comment a whole lot it just goes to show I was right the entire time! I honestly thought I was being picky for a moment but when you know your flower you know your flower! People down this neck of the woods aren’t really in touch with flower like myself as they seem to be fine smoking whatever they can get, I’m most definitely in the right place now & going to start the journey of growing my own for personal use, I hope you’ve had a great weekend and thank you again!

I’m most definitely going to start the journey of growing my own as I feel I’m in the right place with a good community now with people whom understand me, it’s hard to explain to everyone in this area about the structure, smell, taste, feeling & everything else as they just don’t seem to get it like I do, I’m glad I decided to post on this forum & thanks to you guys for giving me closure on this situation, thanks again for your comment & stay well!

Well about that time legalization and modern methods filtered into every grower here and the crap and still wet bud they jarred and produced wasn't great compared to the more traditional methods once used.

The best stuff we get is from the big illegal grows using hps and hanging for few weeks before bagging and selling. The worst from growers who tell you all kinds of crap and how it's this or that lolol.

Quality did go downhill but there's enough of the good stuff here you just need the right connection like my friend who knows what all the bud is like and the best place to go.

Starting growing can be a minefield too, I just use soil and add water and ferts don't check anything or fuss a thing. If you have right light and wind it should work too easily. But some will have you adjusting everything and adding a myriad of crapola with meters and measuring devices scattered everywhere.

What I can say is that if your UK you should be able to find or order on Amazon Westlands multipurpose compost, this works for seed to flower very cheap and for grow gear a full tent kit from mars hydro is pretty much a good entry point but expect to spend £500 for that although you won't regret that investment.

Seeds I go to Attitude on line, normally Sensi seeds and their cheap stuff which is also still awesome. Kush, Sensi skunk, super skunk etc etc. don't pay stupid prices for seeds they are a few pounds and expect free ones for even small orders.

For an alternative view on ph and stuff when growing feel free to hit me up, I talk a very simple routine and grow. Few other UK growers on site too most doing really well which makes it easier to copy and succeed

There's other ways and cheaper gear but in all honesty if I was starting with everything I know now I'd seriously be eyeing up this setup.

Automated, has everything, light that can do seed veg and flower. Fan for air movement filter for smell extraction to keep temperature with room it's in.

Hay smell usually means they screwed up their drying, probably went too fast. It's a safe smell for weed, just not a desirable one. If it didn't have good trichome development itll also put out a grassier smell. Color wise, brown on a dry bud can be normal or worrisome. Grey is definitely a bad color. That fatter part to the far left that looks grayer than the rest. If it smells or breaks apart any different than the rest of the bud, toss it.
