No. Neem shouldn't be used without being emulsified. There are better options for cannabis. It's best to avoid spraying anything on the plants without a good reason to do it, especially when they're flowering.Do y'all ever use neem oil for precautionary reasons. Even if your plants aren't having any issues.
Neem again? No. My advice is to avoid neem oil.Is there any help if you just put it around the edge of your pot?
I have heard people say this, but no specific reason. Only not during flowering. What is the reason not to during grow?Neem again? No. My advice is to avoid neem oil.
I'd say the best practice is to monitor your plants for pests just as you would for other problems and then respond as is necessary.
The main reason is it can burn plants if it's not emulsified with a detergent and water. So, it can be used. It just needs to be used carefully. That's especially true during flowering. i add neem seed meal to the soil to prevent bugs and add some nitrogen to the soil. Works most of the time.
Neem seed meal is a powdered ammendment that has NPK, nothing to do with neem oil. I use it too, its a great ammendment and yes it does help with soil pests. Add BTI or BTC aswell and youre guaranteed to not have insects that reproduce in the soil.
How about potassic soap? Or a citric acid based pesticide. Im not a fan of using preemptives but I understand that outdoors is another story, I grow indoors but I know damn well that in some places if you dont use preemptives youre gonna get fucked outdoors.I was just curious. As an old farmhand, I sprayed acres of land. And the one thing that scared me was anything with oil in it. Like crop oil. Mix it wrong, could kill the whole field.
That's why I ask. So far, I like the, Seven spray for the two times I've needed it for bugs. Mites, and leafhoppers
Thanks

The one I use is in spanish so Ill just put the down to earth one, I know you guys like that brand in the US. Is the only ammendment I use that is high in nitrogen besides alfalfa meal, but alfalfa meal doesnt have enough to balance my super soil so neem meal is a great option. I dont use blood meal so I have to use something else high in nitrogen.

Oh I see hahaha but I think he said he adds it for pests but also gives nitrogen just as a side detail as its something to consider if youre gonna use it because it has quite a bit. Azadirachtin is what neem oil and neem meal has that kills insects. I wake and bake and Im still grumpy when I wake up, cant imagine how it would be without my morning jointIt was the and add some nitrogen to the soil
That had me laughing as that’s not going to help with bugs
I’ll admit I was in my hotel room & hadn’t had a spliff so ole moody popped his head in lol
Am a coffee shop now enjoying some Georgia pie.
Yes. Deadbug is what I use to kill off the general waves of bugs that like to move in at night. I spray the plants once every other week in veg only with ready-made neem. I would never take the time to prepare the oil itself. Like @Gmix said, you don’t want that stuff on your buds. They’re gnarly if you use it during flower.Do y'all ever use neem oil for precautionary reasons. Even if your plants aren't having any issues.
I’m sure you’ve figured this out already, but the reason to avoid neem on plants altogether is the risk of damaging the plant. In veg you can burn your plant if it’s not applied right and sometimes even when it is. When people use it in flower, it ruins the bud. If you’ve never experienced a bud that has neem on it, it’s horrendous. It’s better reserved for other crops if you have a choice.I have heard people say this, but no specific reason. Good morning! Off to read about potassic soapI used to prepare it myself and its only about 1% neem oil, 10ml per liter (1000ml) and same ammount of potassic soap, thats enough oil to kill and enough soap to emulsify but I stoped doing it because of this forum. So many people dislike it here that I got paranoid that some might still linger around when I swap to flower so I use potassic soap or if it needs something more agressive hydrogen peroxide mixed with citric acid (I buy it already mixed).
