Neem oil to clean plants

I’ve heard from a couple people you can use neem oil to clean plants that have some bud rot going on. Also heard that it can help keep spider mites away. I’m here to see if that’s true and if so how do I use it properly?

It won't cure bud rot I'm fairly sure about but it does a good job at keeping bugs away from the plants, I used it on my outside plant that got half eaten by bud rot.

Neem oil will not stop or cure bud rot, it will though keep worms and insects from eating other parts of the plant.
