Anyone tell me why this is happening. Calyx's that are bunching up into balls of calyx.

Those caylx are swelling with newly forming seed. Search closely , some where in your garden is a male flower.

Look near the one branch. Somewhere close is a male flower or male stamen that is producing viable pollen.

Are you sure your didn't cull a male a wee bit to late? Really ez and if just one drooping sac opened on that side of the plant, and you foliage feed you may just have that small batch of seeds.. if this was hermie issues you'd have male pollen sac's forming filling with pollen, not a preggo.. Save these seeds and grow them out, I bet you get a 50/50 ratio M/F..
