Bad news boys, I pooped up and jumped in with a massive K (Potassium) fed too early and burnt up the ladies. I didn't think my top dress was adequate so I hit them with some salts. Bad move, it all hit at once and burned them up. Also had my lights turned up way too high which did not help matters either. Lost all my big beautiful fan leaves, but the inner and lowers are all looking good and turning around nicely, so still looking for a good harvest. Got to show the mess ups as well as the perfect runs.

Here is the TKNL5HAZE X LIME looking frosty 3 weeks to go should pull through. Top and lower shots.



Got the Time bandit next, Top shot and lowers. I think the purpling is due to the high P (phosphorus) feed to counter the high K lockout. On a perfect grow I bet Mammoth P would turn them purple like that every time for that exotic look.



Last the Malawi Bhai Bhai. Still chugging right along. I think it was more affected by the light intensity than the high K. She looks like she may go 11-12 weeks.


More to follow. All will make it to the finish line. Not my best by far. Should have gave the K top dress another couple days to get absorbed before I hit them with the salts in a panic.. I do think hitting them with the high P salts once I realized my mistake with the K saved the grow. Just another lesson in growing, to bad patience is some thing learned, not something one is born with. So yet again I get to repeat the class.

This is the TKNL5HAZE X Lime from AKBB. Its the "short" pheno pictured at the start of the thread. She looking swollen and close to done.

So far this pheno and the Malawi Bhai Bhai are the only ones not throwing big foxtails from the stress. Gonna be done soon wohoo!!

Keeping things moving right along, next up we have the Black Lime Special Reserve F5 from Useful Seeds. This guy has put out some great Fem work these are reg seeds though. Hope to see him back up and running full speed again soon. Back to the the BLSR. Info is as follows.

I have a couple packs of this and decided to run a few to see what its all about. Luck was not with me this time though and out of the 4 seeds planted I only have 1 female. Nice looking plants seems a shame to cull them, not making seeds this time, just observing. Hopefully since I didn't win the billion dollar lotto fortune will find me in this one female. Stranger things have happened.

Tough break with so many males first run. I really wanted to see more females. That being said, the uniformity of the plants is what I really appreciate and expected from an F5 generation. Kudu's to the breeder for the vigor and structure being nearly identical in the plants. I take responsibility for any variance due to growing methods. Its obvious these plants are spot on with each other, just a beautiful canopy with little effort. Be doing a little LST to get the lady opened up so the light can shine in really looking forward to this one.

Next up we have the Malawi Bhai Bhai still chugging right along. No worries here she is finishing up nicely with just a hint of foxtailing. Once again grower error, she is way close to the light, and the K mishap from earlier. Still a gorgeous plant. Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Patience young padawan.




The TK's and Time Bandits from previous posts are drying and I should have some bud shots soon. I did not think dead leaf bud porn was what anyone would want to see, like old lady porn, pass.
The dried buds are looking really nice though. I'll have some photos soon when its trimmed up.

What a difference a week makes. The BLSR f5 lone female is starting her journey and looking good. Got a little hot on the P, no worries, part of learning what a strain does and does not like. We will see how things progress.


The Time Bandit and TK/NL5Haze/Lime are done drying. Smoking has been nice so far the Time Bandit is the household fav right now. Not really a smell to it besides that "dank weed" smell but the taste is like caramelized sugar. Very sweet but not fruity, like browned sugar on a pastry. Medicinal effects are stellar. Not for restless leg, but anxiety or depression. Very euphoric and a great conversation enabler, for those who actually like taking to people anymore. Beautiful feminine high, a few nights have been spent outside with my lady, looking for meteors and chatting and its like 3 hrs went by in 30 minutes. Yeah its that serious time warp herb and not something that will put people to sleep. Really nice smoke.




The TK/NL5Haze is nice as well, in a different way. Different medicinal effects for sure. This pheno is super stoney, really nice to just relax and veg with. It has become my late evening smoke. Very relaxing. So far I have had 3 nights of at least 5hrs straight sleep. Nice to wake up refreshed without a cannabis hangover like from a few of the "indica" varieties. Its not really daytime smoke for me, but it is along the lines of what I am needing at night. The effects are nice, the come down finds me heading off to sleep. Really nice late evening smoke for me. Smell on this pheno is once again that "dank" smell with hazey smell underneath. Taste is definitely citrus, all who have tried it say lime right off the bat, without me telling them what it is. To me it tastes like burnt plastic, like plastic thrown on a campfire, that smell. A lot of the orange strains do to me though. More of the zest than the fruit. Still nice smoke though and helping me get some sleep. I have had others that help me sleep for awhile, still waiting for the unicorn though that is perfect for me. The hunt is fun though.



The Malawi Bhai Bhai is done and not good. All those burnt leaves came back to haunt me. Found bud rot in my top cola, which I knew was a possibility. Wish I had pulled it early. Got greedy and have to pay the price. Fortunately it was just in the top. Got to watch that humidity.




You can see the dead leaves inside that caused it. Quick check of the thermometer and we see why. Low temps and a 92% humidity spike. Oh well, it is what it is this time. So so bummed, I should have pulled it last week but it was still putting on weight.

Mountain Temple fixing to do tha do. Really nice structure. This isn't "breeding", its for my own preservation
of the line in seed. Would rather have 2 males and a female. but with 6 seeds and only 3 making it I will take what I can get and be happy.



On a side note...
All 3 of the Black Domina x TKNL5Haze from above are confirmed female.

Every one is seeded and this guy is finished. He would not have been my choice for a male.
I prefer the pollen to have more color. Didn't really have a choice and I am thankful I at least
had a male for seed.



Shape and structure look good. Some mustard colored pollen would have been gorgeous.

Nutrients got a little heavy on the N and even though it burned the tips, she still looks like she wants more. Growing seeds not buds this round and with only 2 weeks left to harvest I'm gonna ride it out.

One of the Black Domina x TKNL5Haze is showing some color at 5 weeks. Never grown Black Domina anybody know if this is common or a trait associated with the cut or am I just to close to the lights? Other 2 look normal green with just a little N def being so close to the light. Either way she sure is purty.

Getting closer to the finish. probably another month. Couple of weeks and a top dress of nutrients later and it still has the same colors showing. N and K deficiency have been addressed and corrected in the other plants, this one keeps turning color. I don't know, but I like it.

10 days later and I may have missed my mark on finish, I'm thinking now one more week. Bracts are fat and full, pistils have almost completely receded, fade is on point and color is coming in nicely all over.

The Black Domina x TKNL5Haze is done. I have no experience with this strain so 63 days is a good stop point as any.

Really variable color to the fade on each plant. Super easy to grow. Really eager to test the product since I am out of night time meds. My understanding is be looking for a really nice narcotic effect, like lights out, which is what I wanted
