Hey there THC-
This is my first post of my first grow. While I've helped my husband with his grows for many years (he's around here somewhere :)) this is my first from start to finish.

My strain I chose was the Lucy from Reserva Privada Colorado. It's genetics are Luca Brasi X LA Confidential that comes in at 100% Indica 0% Sativa. The LA Confidential genetic originally comes from DNA Genetics' strain. I'm very excited about running these girls for a multitude of reasons. While the yield comes in at a relatively low rate- it's a high CBD strain that is consumed minimally and for anti-inflammatory purposes really. Yield isn't as high on the list compared to quality of each plant for this specific grow. Yield comes into play for me with a few other strains I have in mind. Also, hubs is running Sin City's Tangerine Power right now too- so I'm not trying to overload either of our grows.

I'm sprouting 3 seeds in Jiffy brand pellets and should see germination in a few days. Once I've got that, I'll transplant into a soil medium for the little ones- just a straight potting soil from EKO.

I will update once I've got some sprouts and an opportunity to take a few pictures when there is something to take pictures of ;)

Until then! COSolsticeMJ

Tuned in to the show. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Quick update! 1 of the beans popped, but immediately was molded. Tossed that. Waiting on the other 2 to sprout and see what happens. I have 1 more of the Lucy that I could start, but am waiting to see how the Tangerine Power does that my husband is working on- i'm helping him with those ones too. :) Hopefully next post will have something to look at.

Thanks for following everyone, really excited to share this with you!

well, crappy day.

After the first bean didn't do so hot, I've been keeping a close eye on the remaining 2. After closer inspection today, while the other 2 popped and started to unfurl their water leaves- they didn't look quite right. Turns out- their tap roots didn't drop before they started to grow up really. Not quite sure what happened as neither I nor my husband have seen this before. The jiffy's that I used did seem unusually compacted and hard to dig through- perhaps the little developing taps had no where to go.

Heartbreaking day- but I have 1 Lucy left and a variety of others to start in addition to the Tangerine Power I'm also running.

Another update soon on my next move....thanks for following!

Hi again THC!
After taking a few days to be bummed out and re-hash what I did wrong in my head- I'm back at it again! Popping 3 more beans today: the last of the Lucy and another strain from Reserva Privada Colorado - Hemlock.

Hemlock is also from the Confidential Collection with its genetics coming from a cross of LA Confidential x Durban Poison. It's a 55% Indica 45% Sativa and is a high yielding plant with notes of Sandalwood and caramel. I love Durban Poison too, one of my favorites like many, so I'm hoping these ones turn out better than the last run.

Hopefully you'll still follow along, thought it started rough- Im optimistic! I'll post as soon as I have another update for you all.

Hi THC! Happy Wednesday to you all!

Great news!! I have 2 of 3 beans that have sprouted! Did something different this time around too, to avoid losing more seeds. I planted them straight into Fox Farms' Light Warrior in a plastic cup, with good drainage. I have 1 Lucy and 1 Hemlock and waiting for the 3rd to show its leaves. Very happy! They are just little guys, but already off to a better start. Thanks for following!! All feedback is welcome :) always into learning more....xoxo COSolsticeMJ

Quick update! The little seedlings are coming along nicely. They've stretched quite a bit, but nothing I'm too worried about right now. The 3rd bean did pop, just ended up a little deeper in the soil than the other two. I will be watching that third one closely. Not too much to report at this point- got the first set of true leaves on the little ones, so watching to make sure they continue to grow strong! Thanks for watching THC!!

Morning THC! Hope you all are having a great weekend :) It's a beautiful day here in Colorado- checked on the lil girls this morning and figured I'd do a quick update. The seedlings are coming along nicely- not quite ready for transplant, just letting them fill out their roots and gain some strength. I gave them a bit of diluted Clonex solution to help with the rooting process as well. The Lucy is already showing her large, fat Indica leaves- which is one of my favorite physical features of this strain. The Hemlock is following along strongly too. In the past, using the straight Light Warrior- we've seen a little bit of burn on the seedlings, but so far the burn on these ones have been minimal.

Here are a few more pics. The first few were taken a couple day ago- Wednesday I think.

The second 3 were taken this morning. Enjoy! Thank you all for the subs and warm welcomes! It's nice to be part of something where so many others have the same views or at least similar.

Love,

Hey, I was wondering how it turned out? I just picked up some Lucy seeds and was planning on starting them the same as you did with the last one that made it. Just wondering if there were any other tips and tricks to know or peculiarities or just some pretty flower pics even :)

Thanks for the posts. I was in the River Rock Wellness rec shop they other day, manager said they were going to start growing and selling Reserva Privada seed. Interested in how they do.
Bummer about the losses so far. I've seen bug larvae eat the root really quick, and couple times it happened with really fresh seeds. Hopefully you have better luck!
