Do you check your runoff water to get a measure of the nutrient levels within your medium. Looks to me like you may have too many nutes for twisted leaves like that possibly. I don't know the ec to ppm scale but think you should be about 200 ppm for seedlings and between 400 to 500 ppm for veg growth. Looks like you may need to start to ramp it up a little bit soon for pre vegative stage. Lmk. I'm new to coco myself and it can be finicky I think. I was trying strait organic imputs in coco and had a little bit of success but was finicky.
Hi,

Thanks for your response.

My run off is like 1.3 EC but the problem i have is i started in a huge 5Gal pot and only watered the area around the plant, now the rest of the Coco has dried. I am hoping the plant gets a little bigger so i can start to water the entire pot.

Next time i will start with Canna CoCo bricks (as thats all i have access to) and start in a small pot and transplant it rather than start in the final pot.

I have been watering at about 0.8 EC which depending on the conversion you are using that equals between 400 - 560 PPM

I'm back yet again with more problems. Maybe i just don't have the green thumb..

I started a new grow with all new methods for me.

This grow i decided to try an Autoflower in Coco for the first time.

I started with basic brick Coco which i washed with tap water then buffered it twice for 8+ hours in a Calmag solution. I attempted to put the seed straight into the coco, it took about 7-8 days to surface. Since it has surfaced the growth rate seems extremely slow and the first set of true leaves are extremely small and long and do not seem to be growing in size. Its now starting to grow its second set which are also very tiny.

-I have been watering it with a very light dose (0.6 EC) with a PH of 6 using the below every 3-4 days as the coco is still damp about half an inch down.
-The light level is about 200 PAR and under a 18/6 light
- Humidity sits between 60%-65%
- Temps range from 63F - 73F (its a little low but wouldn't think it would stall this bad)

Nutrients
CalMag+

Am i doing something wrong here or am i expecting to much?

The photos attached were at day 7. Today is day 9. I will take another photo tonight showing the change in 2 days.
Not to gas light you they look healthy IMO but i dont know much !

Thank you very much. I will get the humidity increased but i suspect it will lower my temps a little more. Its currently in the middle of winter and my two little 60w saber heats cant keep up.

So you suspect its all down to humidity and temps?
Maybe the extra photos may help.

I have attached a couple more images showing possible deformities.
😢

It does look pretty good overall I agree. Just make sure to keep your coco hydrated at all times. Sometimes plants may have some malformed looking leaves but they usually grow out of it. All is green and no signs of problems on the leaves themselves so, just keep growing. Sounds like your are in the right ec range. That's good. Maybe it was a little too much too soon but ok now for the age of the plant. Your leaves should grow in normal. A little side led lighting always helps to get a little extra growth sometimes. But does overall look pretty good really.

Back with my next challenge.

The plant survived and has got a lot bigger. Glad it hasn't started to flower yet. Please excuse my poor first attempt to LST.

My new issue:

As you can see the lower fan leaves are curling down and a dark green. Its slowly moving up the fan leaves. I suspect nitrogen toxicity but this is only a guess. I do not think its over watering.

Please let me know what you think

Update:

Its now day 16 and i have taken a photo. I see minor improvements and some growth but still not 100% satisfied.

Being an autoflower and sitting at this size etc at day 16, would you say its time to cull?
I had the same issue with my first auto flowering I replanted it in fox farm happy frog soil and it blew up quick it was like Crack to the plant. Its.called Cadillac purple and the soil was what was causing mine not to.grow. Now it's almost ready to harvest
