Do not mix ph up and ph down!!!!!!!
I won't. I read it's a big no no.

I used those stupid test strips again on the nutrient/calmag solution I made yesterday, and the PH went back up to what my water reads normally, something above a 7.0. Is that normal over time or something? Like, within a day? uhg.

If so, I have been making a solution and using it for up to 4 days in a row. I either make a half gallon or gallon, take from that each feeding.

Either way, I need a PH pen, and a reliable one I feel.

Will this do the job? https://www.amazon.com/bluelab-Pen-Digital-Tester-Temperature-Performance/dp/B005POOJHG/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3HX5B4XEKM0OB&keywords=bluelab+ph+pen&qid=1689076834&sprefix=bluelab+,aps,173&sr=8-1-spons&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Says this includes calibration solution. That's the 4.0 and 7.0 stuff right?
This = https://www.amazon.com/Bluelab-4-0-...51-893a-398a3d72d4d2&pd_rd_i=B01GQVSQGG&psc=1

Should I buy this as well? I'm assuming they don't include a whole lot eh?

Also, I assume this is the storage solution? = https://www.amazon.com/Bluelab-STSO...51-893a-398a3d72d4d2&pd_rd_i=B098GZ8S42&psc=1

Says not included, totally fine. Just need to make sure I'm getting the right stuff.

Yes that's the right ph pen. When possible get the truncheon blue lab nutrient wand. Calmag well raise the ph of your medium. And BTW only adjust one thing at a time or you won't have a clue what did what. Take care

Hey BTW I would advise on blue lab electrode solution, but get the cheap 7 and 4 ph solution. Save money where you can

Apera Instruments AI1114 pH Calibration Solution Kit (7.00, 4.00), 16 oz. for Each, Plus Apera CalPod Solution Holder, NIST traceable https://a.co/d/i8nGZer

Think my PH is too low?

I do have a bottle of PH down. I know my PH is starting out at like 7-7.5 and I thought that's what my issue was before, but then I didn't even know my PH would change once I added nutrients until after I bought the stuff. Oops.

Adding nutrients and calmag I get somewhere between a 5 and a 6 according to those test strips.

I may just need to buy a proper PH pen too. Maybe PH up as well? uhg
Every watering I feed 7.0 to 7.1 ph. Never have problem with ph. Knock on wood. Science is fine to a point, but to much is bad. I am a novice but Good soil, good light, nutrients and a good ph meter= a good plant. Over thinking it can be you biggest opponent. Then you always have this forum for answers.

He's growing in a coco/ perlite medium, so please don't confuse soil with hydro my friend. Take care

Turn your light intensity down or raise your light up before you fry her. She's receiving more light than she can handle.

Hey folks.

So, I got my PH meter in the mail last night. Calibrated it, tested it; works great. Love it.

I certainly have been having a PH issue, this whole grow. I forgot when I started from seed, but around the 1st or 2nd of this month they each had 3 nodes.

Early on, I wasn't adjusting PH at all. I thought the nutes/calmag were bringing it down to the correct PH. It wasn't.

My water is 7.4-7.5 PH. 40ppm.

With nutes/calmag = 6.6-6.8 PH. That is what the the first half of my grow was around about before I started using PH down.

And since using PH down, I've been guessing; only adding 2-3 drops. Which was bringing it down to probably 6.1-6.4 up until last night.

So clearly, I've been off this whole time. My question now is, should I continue with this grow, or start over?

Plants are clearly not where they should be, but if I can nurse them back to health by tracking my PH and not over doing it with nutes,
would I be able to make it to harvest? Or should I just scrap it and start over?

I don't mind doing either or. Or even turning these ones into outdoor plants by transplanting them in soil and seeing how that goes.

I'll add a couple pictures of them as of this morning, prior to feeding them 5.8 PH'ed 435ppm (PH down PPMs included).

I greatly appreciate the help and advice thus far too.
