New Grower, Starting Today

Hello all! new to the site, been lurking for a few weeks. thought i'd introduce myself before bothering everyone with questions, etc. also, will be reading the FAQ before starting any new threads :D

a week ago i got a bunch of grow supplies and decided to start growing. my wife and i just bought our first home, with a full basement. we are both legal patients in the great people republic of California, so being legal and seeming fun, i decided to try and grow a few plants.

i'll be posting a grow journal for my first grow shortly. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

Thanks! I just today picked up some clones from my LD. Got two each of granddaddy purple and girl scout cookies. Put them in some soil, under the two galaxy hydro LEDs and ph'd some water, skipped nutes. I'm going to post photos etc soon. Looking forward to this!!

Skipping nutes for more than the first watering or two is a mistake. You have to feed the girls to make them happy. Start out with a very low dose of nutes and work your way up as you see how they like it. Good luck, welcome to the farm!

Thanks! Today was the first watering. Planned on doing nutes with the next watering. Does that sound right? Most of my research has been on growweedeasy.com and this forum (as of today).

Use the search forums function here when you have a question because it may save you a new post, but dont hesitate to ask questions, most are very helpful here.

I would start at 1/2 or 1/4 of the lowest recommended dose of whatever ferts you are going to use with new clones, since you put them in soil they should be ok for the first few weeks with no nutes.
