I came here for a little advise. I have a 4x4 no till living soil bed in a 4x5 tent. Problem I have is my zipper broke. I need to replace my tent. Does any one have any good advice on getting this bed out of my old tent. I don’t want to ruin my bed.

Welcome to the farm!

A few pictures might be helpful.

If your soil is one foot deep, 4 * 4 * 1 = 16 cubic feet of soil. A cubic foot of Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil weighs about 20 pounds, so that's 320 pounds of soil. That's probably too much to lift and carry. So, I'm thinking the soil will have to be removed.

Welcome to the Farm. šŸ™‚ Velcro will see you through your zip problem until you can take out your bed. šŸ‘ Start a grow diary so the good folk of the Farm can follow your grow. šŸ‘

Soil beds are a byochie to change out, unfortunately the only way I have found is bucket by bucket. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Good luck with your grow.

My bed is 4x4x18ā€ it has 400 lbs of sand and 3/4 rock in the ā€œAā€ horizon with 5ā€ of my blend of top soil combined with silts and clays for my E horizon. And 10ā€ of a blend of peat moss pumice and compost basalt and bio char. I estimate the bed weight to be roughly 1200 lbs. I would hate to disturb the biology of the bed. The photos are from when I built the soil

I’m thinking the bed removal may be impossible like @BigBlonde said itll probably be a dig out situation to swap the tent, looks like PVC rails and I doubt the fabric would handle the lift anyways, Velcro will probably be your best bet but I’d make a flap over the whole door, and seal all 4 sides with the Velcro, sucks but I’d have to do the same thing with the scrog if that happened at least till the end of the grow

And welcome to the farm!

I was thinking about bringing in a gantry and a couple of chain falls to hoist it. But I don’t know how to get under it.
