Hello friends !

I am about to set up a new growing room.
my idea is to set up a kind of run-to-waste system using in a vertical scrog method.

i have several questions.

1~ what are good measures for growing up 4 plants using a single vertical light source. 1 square meter floor area on a 2 meter height should be ok ?

2~ i need a memory refresh about the simple mechanics of run-to-waste systems. top drip ? you know ? :)

3~lighting. how much is good for growing 4 healthy sativas vertical scrog'ish?

4~ home made carbon filter, anyone knows howto ?

i will be setting it up my self from scratch with a limited 300$ budget,
that means cutting pipes, drilling holes, taping stuff and being creative.
no cash for easy tents and kits :)

any useful threads or tutorials covering that area ?

Thanks,
and please to meet you all

welcome to thcfarmer! as stated above, you should check out the diy forum and the grow room set up and design forum. They will both help you out tremendously. Just do a simple search in those forums and I am betting your questions will get answered pretty quick. Are you planning on growing in coco? if so, top drip/ drain to waist will work out great. if you have any questions about growing in coco let us know!

Thank you all for the quick reply!

i shall look into the set up forum about set up issues.

but actually i am here because i want to grow in coco.
in a drip to waste method.

should i be consulting you about these issues ?
as i stated above..

i can use a memory refresh about how drip-to-watse on coco coir works.
i want to try this method but i have no coco experience.

i have some basic understanding about how to drip and drain, but i could use some more professional guidance.

bud spleefman, i saw in your thread that you've completely automated your growing room. it is quite impressive and i have no ambition of growing at these quantities. but i am interested in automating my small - soon to be a grow room.

so what are the basics of drip-to-waste phisics ?
i want to start building.
what sizes of tanks should i get for 4 plants ?
what pot sizes ?
which coco mix ?
how do i make it drip right and waste right ?

i hope i was clearer this post

again, thank you all so much for the quick replies.
soon i hope we can see some results together :)

2 to 3gl smart pot and your off with a coco food with 10 to 15 % run off. 60/40 mix coco and perlite. I run H&G coco food. Read a lot of the coco fourm all the info you need is in here. PH 5.9 to 6.2 PPM start with 350 and go up to 900 to a 1000 max and you will be good water every day.
