New LED user question

Hello friends! I have a quick question about LED lights. I'm using a 19w LED grow light from Home Depot for my germination and seedlings instead of HID lighting (gentler light for stronger growth, right?). I've got the light about 6" over my soil, with 3 little ladies breaking ground now. So it's a 2 part question I guess.. Is this a good distance? And I plan on moving the seedlings to my veg tent/315w CMH after they get their first leaves, is this safe? Thanks peeps!

How hot is the LED? Get yourself a temp gauge. If you hold you hand under the light for 30ish seconds, how hot does it feel? If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for the seedlings once they emerge.
