Hello everybody.
I just joined. I'm an older man from denmark. Just started growing again little over a year ago. I wouldn't call my self experienced grower but I enjoy growing a bit more this time around.
Let me show you what I'm smoking atm

This is Balkh hash plant. Photo period Landrace
Ok and this is what I have growing now

Afghan kush ryder auto

Milky way F1 auto i think

Gorilla zkittlez auto and Northen light x Big bud ryder auto. I feel like I messed up my simple number system during up potting so only one I'm sure about is the Afghan kush ryder
Tall one is 70 cm around 28 inch others 25 - 30 cm , 10 - 12 inch and all 4 was up over ground 1/1 , so all 4 around 45 days old. I topped 3 of them
I tend to trim the small lower buds but on the tall one all of them are small so I'm just letting it grow, I know I'm gonna smoke it almost no matter what.

Ok thats it for now. I will show some more as the plants get ready but it's almost never a pretty sight, as you can see in first picture

Thanks guys.
I'm using soil. 3 x 5 gallon pots and 1 smaller pot
Got two quantumboards "220" watt running at 150 watt each
Room 100 x 140cm around 3.5 x 4.5 feet
16h light.
3 of them got nutes once.
Giving the big one some more nutes next time watering. 1 teaspoon dry 20-20-40 in the water. I'm a bit careful with the nutes cos my last grow almost ended with heavy overfeeding looking in the rear mirror. Put them out of flower .....well long story. I still somehow managed to get 110g very sticky but fluffy from one and waiting for the other one to dry before weight but i guess another 110g but not s very sticky this one.
Here is a picture of the fluffy stigky one harvested 12/23 other one harvested two days ago cos it started flowering again and ran 1 1/2 month longer than this one

This was 4 days before harvest Looks bad but tasted good

Thanks very much.
Yeah compact was the word for this grow and also last. Was waiting for the stretch but it never came. I even gave them much less light this time, hoping for a bit more stretch and it didn't work at all. I mean three of them looked like these iglo tents. Just mini
It's not the biggest problem but i have room for two more plants now they are so small. hmm yeah
Just checked on them and I saw bottom leaves starting getting yellow real quick on two of them. Not surprised.

Here is a pic of the bigger one. Looks a bit sativaish. Not stacking yet and started flowering a bit later. I've been scanning journals for days and days trying to get the names right for my plants but i have had no succes. I think this is maybe Gorilla zkittle. Deffo don't look like Northern light x Big bud as it has small buds but i don't know. Next time I remember to transfer the numbers one at a time and not forget and have 3 or 4 unknown

Thanks man. Yes I think they look ok for now. Lets see how it works out.

Just to let you know, I'm not sure if that's the gorilla zkittle but one of them for sure is.
If you have a journal, how do i find it? Want to see your gorilla zkittle

Welcome. That candalabra looks delicious. If your getting more larf than you like, try a future run keeping an even, flat canopy and bring those lights closer. Or leave them where they're at and crank em up to the full 250w. It happens from the amount of light energy coming up short. That's why further down the plant, the larfier the growth.

I started this grow in the hope i got around 400g because next grow gonna be photo sativa landrace, and that can be a long story.
Not many grow landrace sativa indoor and I have some ideas why.
But anyway I don't think 3 of them gonna give more than 50g each probably less the big one can give 200g if I do well. Thats gonna be on the low end because i expect the next grow not finished in 6 months so in that case i have to cut down.
I had two one once almost went a year Nigerian landrace

Thanks.
Yeah it a candelabra. I don't know what happend there lol. I'm ok with the larf on this one as the buds for the moment have same size from top to bottom and I wanna see how that works out. I probably gonna regret when trimming all popcorn.
I topped this one to get more even top and plan was to remove larf half way up because they tend to end up popcorn for me. With this one I just got the feeling it would not be popcorn. Also it's not compact I've removed no leaves on this one so i hope At least bigger popcorn.

My lamps real watt is 2 x 205ish watt I run them at 150 each cos I think it fits the rest of my amateur setup. Power bill also plays in but it also provide me the amount of weed i want(when things go well) actually also when things don't go well cos i always have hiccups(the pictures I have ha ha), and if things get real bad it's time for smoking break.

But I am aware of better penetation when raising wattage the reverse square law and it would yield more if other things is also in place.
Right now my focus is most on learning feeding amounts doing baby steps following the plant more than me making a static skema. But I also try to focus a bit on light not frying the tops like i tend to

I just took a picture of the one I'm pretty sure It's the afghan kush ryder. Packing nice

It should be a cross of ruderalis and pure indica. They also make a purple model I grew twice. Small yielder for me I think 40g , 50g and 6og the three i grew but i like the taste and how it works. I feel calmer and i just enjoy sitting smoking and tasting it. That was what gave me the idea of growing landrace. The feeling when i smoked it.
So next grow plan is two different sativa and two different indica.
Plan is that indica finish first and then the two sativa can get all the space to finish.
So that's going to be fun trying to get 4 different females. That part of the plan is not ready.
Plan so far is vegging indica then maybe they put a preflower in 16h light while i finish this auto grow. It can happen but time will tell.
Then when indica is ready switch to 12/12, and start sativas from seed in 12/12 trying to manage the eventual wild grow. I'm even thinking some bonzai like with a wide but low container. Plan can change

Ok so i gave the big plant some fertilizer yesterday.

Because lower leafs was getting yellow real quick i decided to give 2 tsp instead of 1 tsp dry fertilizer in the watering, and that seems to have given some green back, so thats good.
I mix my own fertilizer from ash kelp guano and some organic ready fertilizer.
The mix i used was 20-20-41
I also reconsidered and I'm starting to remove some of the lower bud sites little at the time even though buds are not as small on lower part as I'm used to. I was hoping for a 2 foot foxtail but that might be too ambitious so I go for 1 1/2 foot foxtail instead.
Also another thing. Plan was 10 branches but i made a mistake and kept the first two branches so 2 are not tall enough. I did that mistake on the 3 I topped.

The idea of the cardboard on top of pot, is to make the drying of the soil more even, making it easier to water and also maybe keep the humidity down in summer. It also does so the gnats don't fly directly up in the bottom of the nugs. Dang it's annoying and time consuming to remove gants from the nugs. The idea seems to be doing something.

Some of the browning on the lowest leafs is from them touching the soil when it was smaller before stretch. It also happened to the 3 other plants.

My setup is very minimal. I don't really control much. I think it would shock many.
It also meant that i got bud mold for the first time last year. Reason it hasn't happen before is cos my grow wasn't dense enough so in a funny way i took the mold as a positive thing, in the way that buds in my grow is getting bigger.

Plan is before summer, to get the humidity from room to the outside. I have almost all i need except around 1 foot of tubes and an automatic humidity thing that turns on and off the vent.
Right now humidity is no problem around 35% rh but last summer was 70% all summer.

I'll be back. I still have a few things I want to show that made my growing much more nice for me in my setup.

ps I'm waiting for some seeds i need for next grow so sorry I'm a little pissed. I paid for 5 day delivery 9 days ago now tracking says 7 - 15 days more and I didn't even get a message of the delay. I made me so angry that I'm not gonna buy there anymore unless they give it all to me for free,(100$ ish) I wrote to them. I know it's not the companys fault but they choose who to partner with and thats their responsibility. They made a promis and it was a lie. Simple as that for me.
That means my plan from yesterday now has changed a little. About getting 2 female indica ready for 12/12 when these auto's are ready.
I'm gonna smoke a little on that

Nearly 1 mth in flower and only got water two times in that month. 25 cm 10 inch plant in ca. 5 1/2 gal dirt. Never got root to fill out pot. Still a bit heavy for next watering.
Far to dark green as i've seen happening before probably with poor watering and bad transplant.

I decided to lower my expectations more form hoping 400 g. My new guess is max 40 on this one + 50 + 35 + 110 on last 3 = 235g small bummer on my side but also far better than nothing.

Next time I run autos I will try starting in end pot. Putting some more drainage in dirt too to make it less difficult for me watering the first weeks i hope.

I checked the net again for pictures of Milkyway F1 and I think I got it right. This one should be the milkyway. (flowering for 1 mth)
First time I'm a little disappointed from what breeder promis. Hard to judge by picture but buds are small/thin also pistils die quick. Plant has been looking quite good all the way so minimal setback. It is though in a smaller pot due to the size when i up potted, that plays a part of course.

I made these. One of the better choice I made. It makes it so much easier for me to do everything from watering over pest control to pruning and trimming. One thing I would change if i should do it again is using wheels at half size, cos it will make it more stable. It was also my intention but funny enough these 2 inch wheels was way cheaper. Under the piece of fabric down in corner lives a spider. It doesn't help much but spider grows fast

Day 50 all looks good. Not much happening. They don't need water often cos them being small.
Big one behind much slower but also not to compare. That one started flower later than 3 others and i can see it's gonna have a longer flowering.

I don't really know if it gonna foxtail but this plant is different from what i'm used to. Buds small but don't look like normal popcorn. More like normal buds, just smaller. I donno what i mean but bud's not fluffy. I like it and exited to see how it turns out.
I did trim bottom 4 inches not fluffy popcorn though.

Reading another tread talking about ph i decided to check mine

Runoff 6.5
My RO water is 6
I grow organic
My soil is bought from store pre fertilized with a ph = 5.9 - 6.7
I don't ad anything before first sing of needing nutes (or right before however possible)
I know i could use better soil aimed at weed and the price i seem to pay for my choice is a little setback until plant stabilize the dirt as it likes.
My humidity is also low at winter (30ish right now) but plants seems ok with it although i think there could be more tricomes.
I use same soil for seedlings but i run water through to wash some of the easy accessible nutes out in the 4 inch starting pot. I mean when i remember. This grow i forgot and i slowed seedlings down a bit i think. Not much

No news from seeds, but i'm starting the one indica i have anyway Balkh hash plant Landrace from the Balkh region in afghanistan.

This is how i do it. Normally works very good.

Soak a tissue in a zip bag. Then i empty the bag for excess water. I'm not pressing any water out. This time with RO water but my tapwater is also usable.(no chlorine)
Put the seeds in zip bag and close but i don't close the zip.
I make sure seeds get so wet that there is a little ring of water on top of the seed on the plastic for faster tap, but there is also like an air pocket around each seed.
Then i just leave it in room temp. I don't care if it gets light but i also don't put it in direct light like under the lamp.

I don't pre soak seeds in water first cos it's more work and also a bit slower getting tap out when i do it this exact way. (theory: the little droplet on top of seed do the same job as the soaking in water does?)
Normally after 24h ish tap comes out if seed is good and fresh. Some take 2-3 days and i tend to leave all until all have tap, even if others get like 1/2 inch.
But it's easy to follow cos of zip bag.
After that i'm just very very very gentle when handling them. I mean very.

I do not use any form of sterile cos they are going directly into dirt so that would seem strange for me to do that.
I guess the sterile germination is more for other type of medium.

These seeds doesn't look very good. All three pale one extra pale and one small. The big one could be empty but i'll check if so. I had a big empty last time.
Update tomorrow promis

Day 51

Ok i found out the slowing of my gorilla zkittles.
I made a dryback without wanting to.
I noticed watering today that the soil has become hydrophobic.
It was already like that last watering but i thought it was because the soil was wet.
Also explains why it's a little more yellow than i'm used to at this point in growth.
Now i started to get the soil wet again but light is out so tomorrow.
My afghan gonna have same problem tomorrow i guess.

Check out how they look now

Gorilla zkitteles auto

And Afghan kush ryder auto the yellow i the back

It got that yellow real quick. My fault i slept all day.
Good thing is there is so much room for improvements.

The seeds i'm popping hasn't cracked yet. They're a little less pale now wet, and the smallest looks ok'ish.
They have absorbed the droplet on top of the seed.
I gotta say it's the 2nd worst seeds i ever saw. It looks like they don't sort them.
I have some 12 years old seeds not sorted, stored in a drawer looking much better, but i know looks doesn't always count.

Great news on the seeds that should have arrived one week ago. The delay got prolonged up to 12 days more but that can change.
I'm so happy i payed extra for express.
So i'm glad i decided to just start with what i got even if it's only half of of what i planned.
I got two other photo seeds too, just not the ones i wanted to grow this run, but they are fem so thats good cos i only have the two.

Oh yeah last thing.
Balkh hash plant is in glass now. 96g. I had hoped for a little more cos it flowered 1 1/2 month longer than supposed and looked more dense than it is.
It's much less sticky than the one i harvested at christmas and that gave 110 g.
A bit boring smoke in all ways.
So last grow i would not call a win.
None of my clones got roots. It was 2nd time i tried cloning so i know almost nothing about it.
Ended up with only the two mothers going to bloom.
Then they didn't stretch so they didn't fill the room at all. I could have had 9 of that size LoL. Found out i maybe gave them way to much light. These lamps is much stronger than the last ones i had.
I also over feed them so they went out of flower.
So thats like 200 g under 300 watt
Good thing was the first plant. Fluffy though but sticky and i enjoyed every drag of it. Very nice taste and feeling
