Newbie from South Africa here. Been smoking since the 90's with a few little grows here and there. Growing weed for personal consumption is now legal in South Africa, so time to really start getting into this hobby. Much easier to source everything now and get all the proper products for growing.
So much information now on the internet, but hard finding what is actually appropriate and useful is other story. I kept finding very useful info on this forum, so here I am.

1 Week in. Germinated in kitchen roll. Planted into soil after 4 days. This is day 7.
Week 1

Day 14. Stems got a bit weak and needed some help staying up, but seemed get themselves strong enough now.
Week 2

Day 21. I think my LED grow light was on too strong. It was on 60% around 30 inches from plants. Temps were higher than I would have liked but summer is starting and I don't have too much control over temperature. Raised lights higher and turner dimmer down to 40%. Temps improved and plants seemed happier.
Week 3

Day 28. After raising the height of the lights and reducing dimmer to 40% I think I got a bit over keen and over watered them. Pots are 25L (6 gallon), and I wanted to see some drainage. Plants in back left got the most "burnt" from light being to close/intense and back right got way too much water.... I think?
Week 4

Anyways plants are looking happier/healthier now. Hopefully I keep my watering routine in check and manage the right light height/intensity now.
Seeds are White widow, Big Bug, Power plant and master Kush. All plants seems to have nice wide indica leaves. So far no nutrients just good soil.

Any pointers or advice welcome

Looks like I might have gotten an autoflower seed instead of feminized. Its only weeks 5, no light changes and the little gal is starting to flower?
Not sure if the vegging light for the other plants will be enough for good flower on the auto. Might just veg the other plants for a couple of weeks and then start flowering them all.

I've read recently that many growers of photoperiod from seed are seeing flowering during 18/6 cycle. Somehow that rudialis gene is being inbred into reg genes for faster turnover. It's a fight for surpremisy and auto won on that one🤣🤣. Seriously though i've read about it.

Yeah I can believe that. I can't say I'm a fan of these millions of cross bred, auto, feminized etc seeds. Nature had it right the first time, but we just can't stop messing with things. Whether it was an auto seed packaged incorrectly or something else, I'll never know, but it's making some nice flower now

Week 6. Autoflower coming along nicely.
Wk 7

Week 7. Flipped lights to 12/12 just after week 6.

Wk 6

Week 8. Things seems to have settled down into a bit of routine. I've added a few nutrients, but generally only 25% of recommended dosages.

Wk 8 number 2

I managed to mix up all the seeds, but the lady front left just looks so good. Smaller more detailed leaves than the other plants, but everything just looks so good on her. Seems to be the most indica looking of the bunch, very excited for that smoke.

Week 9. Things growing along nicely now

Autoflower. Its in week 4 or so of flowering. Really starting to look good. Hopefully she keeps bulking up for a few more weeks. Only in a 3 gallon pot and drinking closer to 1lt of water a day now. Temps have also been very high, hope not to high to slow growth.

My princess. She just looks so good. Every leaf is neat, she is only 1.5 ft tall. I never did any training or trimming to her. She seems have ever grown a neat square shape like the pot ☺️🤩

Then notice some very earlier pollen sacs on my other plant. Total of 4 little sacs. 2 each side. Might have been from stressing the plant at that node? I did bends the stem pretty hard to get a more even canopy. Anyways, I hope those were the only ones and she keeps growing well. Any other reason a plant my do that? Heat stress? Temps reach about 90 for a few hours on a couple of days.

Could of been heat but i'm not sure. I don't get pollen sacks and i train pretty hard for months before flipping. I think you got a bad genetic seed. Anyhow your plants look great.

Week 10. Auto flower into week 5 possibly 6 of flowering. Maybe another 2 weeks I'm guessing.
Quite happy I had the "mistaken" auto flower. I think the tent would have been a getting a little crowded with 3 all flowering at the same time.

Getting nice and frosty. Buds seems nice and dense.

Welcome, you do any outdoor?
Hoping to do a little later this year. I moved 3 plants out of tent a few weeks ago and they started flowering after about 3 weeks of being outdoors. They were on 18/6 in the tent, but now outdoors its sun from 6am to 6pm ish and days are getting longer and warmer. I'll probably make a dark/shaded area I can put the plants in at night so they don't start getting more and more light.

Onto week 11. Not a great week. The plant that previously showed pollen sacs was at it again and I noticed a bunch more early developing sacs. Sucks growing a plant for 11 weeks to have it herm out. Chopped and tossed it. Hopefully it didn't pollenate the others. After looking at the internet reviews of my current seed bank, there seemed to be a quite a few complaints of herming plants. As this was the only plant that herm'd out I don't think it was due to stress etc, just bad genetics. I'll be trying a new seed bank for my next grow.

Autoflower still going very well in the tent with my other last tent survivor.
