I have the mother of all air pumps on stand by. Can you give too much o2? According to @Aqua Man it's not about how much air but how much water disruption/ circulation. I now have 4 stones, two at 4x2 and two at 12x1. I know this doesn't increase the amount of air pumped but rather improves the disruption.I'm a little stumped, personally... never done DWC, but you might be correct in that they aren't getting enough oxygen to their roots.
Strictly speculating, you might want to lower the water level and/or provide a more air with a more powerful pump or efficient stones.
I can lower the air exchange on the cooling fan, that should raise the temp, I'll drop it down to the minimum rpm and see what I get. I'll keep you posted.What happens if air temps go up to 77 or so?

I leave my young plants suspended far above their water source and cut off that water source for 30-minute intervals every 2 hours. It seems to work both for cloning and for growing. I usually see my plants start vegging again in ~10 days after taking clones.

Temps are pretty consistent,Let's see a pic if the roots... and start from scratch. It's not lack of o2 they are far to small to deplete it to a level that would cause issues.

Are you running live or sterile?

No smell or slime, I did see a clump of brown slime clinging to one of the roots earlier but it seems to have floated on.Any slime on the roots or smell of decay
With RO you want to add cal mag back. Are you doing this?Temps are pretty consistent,

250 watt mh they are getting about 13k lux now with the height they've put on
I've over watered plants before and this looks like its exhibiting the same symptoms.
At first it was just the bottom leaves but it seems to be traveling up the plant.
Yes calmag added at 130ppm as you instructed in an earlier post. Double checked res temp currently holding at 70.With RO you want to add cal mag back. Are you doing this?
You need a slight breeze through the plants. Enought to make the leaves wiggle. The hydroton area is very high humidity and you need to push the air coming out of there away from the plant. If you look at the base of the stem do you see white little nubs?
Roots look ok. But raise the waterline to 1 inch below the netpot. At this point you could even raise up to the net pot.
There is no such thing as overwatering... overwatering is lack of o2. Roots will grow fully submerged with no issue if the water has adequate o2. In soil this happens because when its to wet there is not enough has exchange.
This is a transpiration issue. I would remove the leaves resting on the lid. It will help open up airflow and they are not going to transpire well and die anyhow.
