I have been a passionate cannabis smoker since I was 15 years old (now 26). I had traveled out to northern California to learn a few tricks of the trade. I didn't learn much as far as growing but learned to make hash and trim. I now reside in the medical marijuana state of Michigan. I had wanted to grow for quite some time now but didn't have the extra money to begin. I went to a doctor and got my certification but never sent it to the state. almost a year later I was stopped by a police officer who notified me as soon as he got to my car that he could smell marijuana. I advised him that none of us had been smoking and there may have been some in the car. when he returned to the car someone in the car handed him what he had on him thus giving the officer probable cause. He found my 6 grams of my meds. I claimed it to be mine. he advised us that he wasn't going to arrest us and give us a "use" charge. he ended up arresting my roommate (the only black person in the car) which we all threw a fit to the officer about and ask he said was do you want to join him? Roughly two months later that same officer called me and advised me they had issued a warrant for my arrest on a possession charge. since I have a fairly legitimate career I called an established attorney in the Michigan medical marijuana defense. she advised me I had a great case with two different doctors certifications (one from California & one from Michigan). as soon as I left her office I went and got another doctors certification and mailed it off to the state and hired the attorney. I was able to get the case dismissed and all charges dropped. now, I was completely broke after paying $100 for the doctors certification and $100 to the state and $1500 to the attorney. but at this point I hhad my card with no money for meds or to even think about start growing. that weekend my friend asked me to go to the casino with him since I was on a "lucky streak" getting a possession charge dropped. I informed him I was completely broke and was trying to figure out how I was going to eat the rest of the week. My friend told me he would give me $100 to drive his car there and give him a little bit of my winnings if I were to win. He even supplied the meds when we arrived :). I took that $100 to the black jack table and ended up leaving after 7 hours with $5000 in my pocket. since it was now early in the a.m. I pulled an all nighter until the grow store opened. bought everything I needed and now on my first week of flowering of my first grow. I have been following a lot of these forums for issues and everything seems to be working great. I will upload some pics.
