Hey Farmers,

it’s a new year and I’ve changed a lot in my grow, so I figured I would start a new thread

The complete KNF system is a bit above my skill set and capabilities. I’m still going to be doing LABs Foliars and soil drenches and trying to supplement the microbial life in my soil. But I will be going back to using bottled organic plant foods (basic NFTG regimen with Photosynthesis plus and BioLive from down to Earth)
Medium:

I’ve got a couple of bins of soil that have been cooking for a few weeks already. Basic Coots amended mix Following the recipe I found on Buildasoil:
Coco/EWC/Pumice base medium

Amended with gypsum, basalt, azomite, shrimp meal, alfalfa meal, oyster shell flour, karanja cake meal, a couple other amendments I can’t quite remember, and some NFTG one-shot pellets.

I’ve added some predatory nematodes to the soil bin to hopefully establish a population.
Also added some Farm Gold IMO inoculated BioChar from AlohaOrganic.

In Flower i have 3 x Molokai Frost

in Veg, I have the following strains:
1 x Molokai Frost & 3 Tennessee Kush clones

recently acquired the following strains in clone form:
MAC1 (Caps Cut)
Pineapple XX
Glazed Apricot Gelato (Kam’s Cut)

I have the following strains Sprouted (unsexed seedlings):
Gifted Tangie f2 (GroGimp)
Blue Cheese (Capt Redbeard)
Redbeard’s Widow (Capt Redbeard)
Oregon Diesel x 78 Affie (Puffin Tuff)
Nubia x 78 Affie (Puffin Tuff)
Strawberry Creme x Rare Dankness (Cannabis Family Seeds)
Durban Cheese (Dynasty Genetics)
Los Veteranos (Boneyard)

On a side note,
Have I said or done something to offend everyone/anyone? I know I’m not the best grower but I don’t see very much engagement or response to my posts/threads, and I feel like a bit of an outcast.

Hey gimp, hope all is going well with you. Are you growing indoors or is this all for outdoors. If it's not for outdoors, when month do you start your outdoors in hawaii?

Looking forward to seeing your grow, Molokai Frost sounds awesome! I'd love to grow it out sometime. Best smoke I've ever had in my life was in Hawaii. Good luck!

Thanks Homesteader!
I’m doing a small indoor, (2 4x4 tents)
I might save a couple of these ones for this year’s outdoor, if there are any that stand out.

I live in Oregon now, I just grew up in Hawaii

Thanks!! I plan doing so crosses with the Molokai Frost, and should have some beans to share in the next few months if that’s something you’d be interested in trying out.

Sorry, I’m still getting used to the mechanics of the threads and responses.
for here in Oregon I like to start my outdoor seeds around Jan/Feb, and then I usually put them outdoors around May (after Mother’s Day)

I’ve been seeing some Leaf curl and taco’ing-
especially on the Molokai Frost that i have in the flower tent. I’m not sure if this is being caused by heat stress or bug damage, or both.

The MF was only flipped about a week ago, so I went ahead and bent down her main stalks and tied them to some bamboo stakes. Ended up breaking a few branches and tried to salvage some last minute clones.

my last round of plants were cut down early because they had a bit of a bug problem. I cleaned out the tent before flipping the next round but I’m not sure whether or not I completely got rid of everything.

the green lacewing larvae that I ordered last week showed up today and I applied them directly to my soil bin and every pot in my indoor grow area.

hopefully the 3 types of predatory nematodes I added last week, and the green lacewing larvae I added today will do the trick and keep my grow area populated with an beneficials.
Lights are about to go off in the flower tent, so I will upload pics tomorrow when I go in to water the plants

I'd move to Oregon if my seaside cottage would sell for an amount I could buy a home in Oregon. We all get busy with our plants & sometimes forget others grows for a while.

I totally feel ya there. I was homeless and couch surfing when I moved back to Oregon about 8 years ago. We struggled for the first few years and it was so rewarding when we were finally able to purchase our home.now I’m one of the lucky medical growers Who gets to grow their own medicine and still doesn’t have to do any of that online METRC bs.

Certification is a way for large corporations to dominate the little guys as with medical employees and most all business now a days. Learning is fun but, seed to sale monitoring is too much. Lookin good.

The nursery area is doing okay, as is the veg tent. Still trying to dial in the last few details in the flower tent. The seed plants always seem to do better than the clones

Most of the plants in the nursery are doing well.

seem to be having a little trouble with this finicky Oregon Diesel x 78 Aggie plant. Got a little lanky and was getting knocked over by the airflow, so I added some activated biochar to the pot to give it a stable foundation and supplement the biodiversity. It looks like the biochar had an adverse affect: I probably should have just used a chopstick as a stake.
Here’s to hoping this plant recovers, this was one of my more expensive beanpacks

Update. Decided to cull the sickly one yesterday. I’ve got so many seeds to go through that I don’t really have the time to try and nurse it back to health. This is always a tough decision for me. Gotta just learn from this experience and move on.

the hunt continues

Veg tent is doing okay, plants are responding nicely to training and topping

on the tray on the left we have:
-an unsexed Durban Poison (far rear)
-a recently uppotted Tennessee Kush
-another unsexed Durban Poison
- a recently gifted MAC1 clone

this tray on the right has (all unsexed):
-(2) Nubia x 78 Affie
- (1) Durban Poison
- (1) Los Veteranos

I’ve been going in and lookin at em every day. I’m glad they’re doing good but I’m just getting impatient and wanting for them to show me their sexes already.
There’s a Molokai Frost on the far right.
here’s a better shot of the MAC1 (Caps Cut)

The Flower tent is still not where I’d like it to be, but it is doing better than it was two weeks ago.

molokai Frost is starting to show her first flower sites and seems to be a lot happier to be staked down a bit further from the lights
