sounds like the plants were rootbound then transplanted into bigger pots.

Noticed one thing I think is relevant to you

“If I let the pot dry even a tad to much, the issue starts showing itself again so I make sure to keep up on watering.“

Thank you for your help. I will try to fix my watering. It's very possible they where drying out too much

That looks very similar.
What did you mean when you said "the roots grew into the bases, as soon as I fixed the root issue the plants started bouncing back and turning green again."
How did you fix it? Do you mean they grew into those containers you have under you pot?
The plants are photoperiods. It's happening to all plants but at very different levels

Sorry, I should of explained myself better.
I was using a bottom watering system and the reservoir at the bottom is filled with water and wicks carry the water to the bottom of the pot.
The roots grew down the wicks and started growing through the bases.

I was not top watering enough and keeping the upper medium wet so the roots traveled to the water

Same thing happened with a 2 gallon pot before except I wasn't using the bottom watering, I had to water constantly to keep it alive and to harvest.

The current plants I was having the issue with, the ones in the pictures of my last post, I fully saturate but I can't let it dry out too much or the issues starts showing itself again.

Both grows were root issues, 1 from to small of pot and the other from improperly watering.

I did not transplant to bigger pots though, I removed the roots and now only top water.
I didn't want to transplant them because they were already stressed and Autos don't take stress well.

Here are the roots that grew through into the water/bases that I had to get rid of.
Could of been avoided with proper watering of the soil.
