Hello all,

This is my first post… yeeha! I am about to finish my first grow and my plants(GDP) are doing fine but I am having a pump/reservoir issue. I have a 70 gallon res with a 2 eco 264 submersible pumps circulating the nutrients. I am burning through a pump almost every other week. I do weekly res changes and even clean out the pumps during the change. Are there any tricks, a better pump, or circulation system out there? The cost of those pumps are adding up fast.

Looking forward to hearing expert advice,

Single

thats a problem with your elertric feed has to be!! pumps dont burn out that fast... check to make sure your connections are all tight and your outlet is ground fault protected ......my guess..... is there any restriction on the flow of the pumps that might be slowwing down the drive? i dunno

Get a bigger pump. Me useing only 1 pump in a 55G vertical drum with a zip tie to the top. Get a free fall drop witch makes a water fall airasion. No need for 2 to be mixing the rez, If power is that much of a problem, Get some cycle NFT timers to save on time ran. Also pump screen bags from a hydro shop. 1/2" tube also.

Get some good air stones also that put air in the water vs pulling air out like fish stones. It will help keep the DO up and the cims mixed. Place that 30 min cycle(15 before and after feed)

Happy clipping soon!
