Howdy everyone. Newby to growing. I'm currently working on my second grow in my little homemade basement setup. Growing up (70's and 80's) my uncle used to grow in our backyard but then I was on hiatus for 30 years. He'd be the first to admit he had no idea what he was doing back then. My first grow was last year with a couple autoflowering varieties as I wanted to limit the variables for my first time. Anyways, his words of wisdom for me were, "you can't get addicted to grass, but you can get addicted to growing grass." I believe he is correct.
