I recently discovered cobweb like coverings on buds and spotting on leaves which is worsening. Buds are not thriving (growth has shown) and spotting/discoloring of leaves is worsening. I’m in the middle of my 7th week of flowering. Anyone recommend a quick but “safe for consumption” fix?

Cut now and wash. Then bomb the room. Take em somewhere else to dry.
Harvest now? Anything short of giving up and harvesting? I keep two plants. When I harvest this one I have one more waiting to be flipped. How about some eradication advice so I can let the buds ripen some more?

How do you “wash” the harvest without washing off trichomes!

They look close enough.

Wet paper towel clean off all the webs. Seeing as your almost down you could cool your temps that will slow the mites down. Salvage mission. Be careful not to transfer to other rooms.

Better to be proactive early when it comes to mite defense.

Spray your veg with something like pylon before you kick it.

I wiped every leaf top and bottom with a 33% solution of 70% isopropyl Alcohol and ro water. I then sprayed the leaves and buds with the solution and let it sit for an hour with fans blowing. After an hour I sprayed (heavily) with pure ro water and let the fans dry her out. The next day I sprayed her with Azamax per the instructions on the box and will repeat in 7-10 days. I didn’t realize that spider mites could do so much damage. I hope I got to her in time. When I realized what was going on almost all of the remaining fan leaves had a little white spots all over them and most of the upper buds had webs.

Flying skull nuke em is safe til day of harvest. It's citric acid. They even spray it on crop post harvest to inhibit mold

How did the isopropyl alcohol bath do? Did it kill the mites and/or burn the plant?

I gave up trying to reinvigorate her and decided to flush early. I don't know if resulting browning and folding of the leaves was due to the mites or the alcohol--or both. The buds actually started shrinkingAfter she is yanked, chopped, hung, and dried I will bomb the room and give it a vigorous cleaning. Mites are nasty fokkers! Have you burned the leaves of a plant wiping it with a dilute alcohol solution for mites?

I’ve only used IA in a very limited application to kill Botrytis on the main stalk. It worked really well and stopped the mold for the remainder of the grow. (Where as hydrogen peroxide only knocks the grey mold down for a day or two and you need to keep spraying.) But I’ve never used it to spray leaves or to kill mites.

Wash your buds after your harvest. I do it now regardless of an infestation or not. Washing buds does not damage trichomes or wash them off. ( If it did you couldn't grow out doors ) I use 3 - 5 gal buckets of water. 1 with 500ml of peroxide. the second with lemon juice and a cup of baking soda. the 3rd just plain cold water...hang to dry with an osculating fan for 2 hrs then dry normally. The amount of debris that comes off is incredible, you'll need a strainer to clean the surfaces of each bucket after a few branches have been washed.

Do a search on FB for Kangen water groups and see if someone will give you a few jugs of 11.5. Soak em down. Completely safe

Spray with ipm. No later than week 4. But id hit it week 5. If you are on week 6 or later. Just cut them down vacuum suck the colas then wash. And dry.
