My nft is a different design. It has 12 main channels similar to rain gutters. Each channel has 18 sites. Then there are two channels with smaller sites for seedlings. I have had dropped plants when the room temp gets low or nutrient solution becomes too cold.
Right ok thats perfect. Maybe it could be my solution dropping when lights out. I'll keep an eye on the temps continuously. Cheers

Right ok, may I ask do you use the system with the pump which pushes water down the tray as pictured above? Have you ever had a problem with the seedlings drooping because they get too saturated? I was thinking its because they were getting too wet before establishing a good root system in the 4inch cube but I use to put the seedling straight in and never had problems that way. I'm just gathering ideas on the way you introduce them to see if that's where I might be going wrong. Thanks
I use nft mate. I swapped to 3 inch cubes instead of 4 inch. Hold a lot less water and I got better results doing this. Try to let the block dry out a fair bit before putting in to the system, then they soak up that nice fresh nute you have just put in. Also have your pump flow on really slow for the first few weeks to let them root. Hope this helps.

hi mate, I grow NFT.

hard to say what your issue is. photos etc will help.

usually if you have everything ok the problem can be nutrients when in seedling stage. what are you feeding them from germ to going into NFT? EC values will help. it's important to start off really slow when introducing seedlings into NFT nutrients.

usually NFT will show signs of unhappiness quickly in your plants, for them to just die means things are pretty toxic in my opinion somewhere.

I agree that a well established root system increases your chances of success ten fold yet I have had success with a single tap root just touching the solution, but I generally wait for a good amount of roots before transfer.

pics of everything will help, also a list of equipment your running.

also im no NFT expert, but ive fucked up enough to know a thing or two.

also as mentioned earlier, get power sorted, ive had power issues last two grows, last one was mid flower, over 24hrs no power, no return for the plants, thought I fixed it this grow, another problem with power, have to get that sorted, fucking devastating man, months of hard work all stuffed from 24hrs no power. this time the plants made it at least but that doesn't happen often.

Sup guys, into week 5 now, ladies stacking nicely, question I have is my NFT tank I am growing one plant in, seems to be drinking more water than feed. The E.C rises to around 3.2 and the PH drops to around 5.3, when starting at 2.4EC and 5.5 PH, could it be the room temps 85F that are causing it to drink more water than nutes? I am thinking I should drop the feed back to around 1.5, she doesn’t really show any signs of burn, maybe a little slow on bulking out, any advice welcomed

If I haven't said it before, Howdy, and welcome to the Farm! 🤠

This is NFT? It looks more like DWC, to me. Looks nice and healthy from what I can see, though! I wouldn't worry about it too much it looks like you're doing just fine. Keep up the good work!
