NJ still has HARSH laws for growing esp..NY is decriminalized and its socialy accepted in most circles..take my chances in NY till they catch up..and this is not allowing peeps to grow their own,so growing in nj is still a NONO..and is only foe severe conditions..but is amazing that bass akwards state is med before NY,(no offence NJ folxs are cool laws suck)

Less than 25 grams is a violation and a fine.(100-$150)..usually cops just give you a ticket and take your weed..NYC is an exception..thanx to shitface Guliani ..you can get cuffed and stuffed for smoking. Under the quality of life laws bullshit, sending peeps to Rikers for smokin a joint is a crime against humanity.

some people just need to cling onto what they believe is sanity and only give a little, but I agree ... it's a decent first step. Stubborn voters will eventually get sick or have a loved one who needs meds. Celebrate NJ! But be cautious, 'cause they'll look for any excuse to say, "we said so."

6 "alternative treatment centers" to start with, then more can be added later on(6 months or or a year later or so).

It seems all the new medical marijuana laws passing are pushing to outlaw home cultivation. Arizona is a good example, you cant cultivate unless you live more than 25 miles from a dispensary. I haven't read the details of the NJ bill, but the money and people behind these bills realize in order to profit off marijuana you can't allow people to grow their own, it simply undermines their production and distribution plans. Watch as more states pass medical marijuana bills, and as california likely votes to legalize weed in November, you'll see giant agriculture companies buying up cali's land to supply these new medical marijuana states with overpriced medicine. Demand the right of self-cultivation, don't trust these money grubbers to cultivate on your behalf. Unless of course you believe corporations have your best interest in mind...

Yea its bullshit, up here in Maine Medical Marijuana has been legal since 1999, but we just voted on a dispensary law in November (we won by 60%) The governor has since assigned a "task force" to make necessary changes for the new law to work. One of the task force members (Rep. Anne Haskell) is really pushing for the medicine to be comercially grown and distributed to the dispensaries. WTF is that? You are going to have potato farmers grow weed? Good luck with that.

She's obviously being lobbied $$$ by the large scale commercial growers. Sad how easily these people can be bought and sold at the expense of our rights....
