Hi cannabis's lovers from different mother's..

I wanted to ask, it be interesting to know what people think about keeping no Mother plant and just constantly take clones from clones.

Iv taken clones from closes many times in the past, but never really gone past 3-4 generations.

Im now currently on my 7-8 generation of of Cutting's of Pineapple Chuck.
so far iv not had any problems I wonder how far I can go with out any problems.

What's your view or experience, and what generation are you on?

I've got a pre 98 bubba kush cut thats on its eight bazillionth generation that is one of my nicest plants. It's seriously been clone off clone since the late 90's early 2000's. It's become a bit of a picky eater but when its dialed it produces buds that rival anything I've seen. Stinks to high heaven and tastes like the kushiest kush you can imagine.

Yes thats what I want to hear :) that bud looks lush fair play ;) can see why you kept that going. That's a fair old time lol

I ran a plant clone after clone for a couple years and it was still fine. I just get bored with them. My old caregiver is still running an original dj short flo plant. So like 15 years maybe?
Same here I get board and don't want to keep different mother's so just have a mix of different breeds on the go and take clones before flower.. I had enough for caring for mother's they just get out of control after a while .. The though of clones from clones sounds easier

I have started to reveg cuttings from my best plants in flower. Have one running that was 9.5 weeks flowered and just rooted a little side branch with a bud that was 11 weeks old.

Monster cropping is it? Wonder if that causes problems taking close from monster cropped clones over and over, or have you done this over and over aswell.

Iv been meaning to try monster cropping for a few years noe buy never got round to doing it, short bushy plants and better growth so iv read..

Something about taking cuttings from cuttings that have been monster cropped regiuvanated l, I can't even spell it and to tired yo google it lol.

Would it be ok to just keep the mother plant cloned/from seed and just keep it going and get clones from there then cut her down let her grow again and get more clones instead of new cuts? Or is it easier to clone right before u turn the lights to bloom ?

Clone from clone is easier I'd say. Even cutting mother back after some time the main stem become to thick to be able to guy her back to much or they just me experience. And then you have monster cropping witch I think is taking a clone from a flowering plant about 3 weeks Into flower, google Monster cropping.

I rather take clones from plants in veg seems safer to me, but iv bit had experience with close from flower

I only clone and reveg once. Then i take clones in veg after the final transplant.

Its faster to clone a vegging plant because you have to go through a reveg stage before the plant starts growing properly again if already flowering.

That looks really, really good. I’m envious 🤔. I’ve kept a mother for cloning and also taken clones from clones prior to flowering. I”ve had success both ways however I like the security of a mother after a few scares taking clones from clones.

Iv had a few scares in the past but from mother's and clones , think it was heat, so far iv not had any problems since getting the the tempts lower :)

There isn't a problem doing it. Specially if you don't have room for moms or want to save on lights/nutes/space in veg. Ive had the same mom running Pre 98 for up to 9 months before restarting it in the past. At a certain point though I like to restart moms since the branches start to get a little thin or too woody with all the tops or I have to continually prune the shit out of them. Easier to restart then do all the extra work.

As far as generations go I would think some of the moms I have run in the past that are from the late 80's early 90's prob are on hundreds if not thousands of generations.

I know what you mean with the mom to old, eventually the main stem is to thick, and it looks like it's been Lollypoped no bottom growth and to get new heads for cuttings you eventually got to keep getting taller just gets to big then the bottom of most stems become woody :(

It’s works and that’s the only way I’ve ever done reveg for mother prospects , I’ll post a pic later today from full on bud branch with clone shoots off the top off it, it’s kinda cool, I usually don’t take it post harvest but this time I was like wth, let’s do a late stage and it surprised me, rooted in 4 days in ez cloner dwc.

So you have just always taken clones from clones but their in flower, and no problems?

I'd rather monster crop as iv read good things about it, quick growth , short and bushy plants sounds good :) and more yield they say ?
Iv just been to scared as you can stress plants in flower and though that is might be risky, as iy might cause lady boys... I use the same clone machine i think, lines dwc but has mist sprayers in it.. Their so easy and quick to root :) love it

And pics of monster cropped plants be be cool :)

Yep I’ve had 20k plus cuts off a few mother’s, we do commercially so limit the cuts to say no more then 7yrs on any mother and even at that we haven’t seen any genetic issues. One note though , the yeilds do lower as the mothers get older

Nice :)
Ow is it, iv noticed yield drop yet but will remember that, so if it happens I can add that equation to the check what's going on list lol
