Caught it early enough to recover, that's the main thing.

All good so far...the lady's are stacking up a little after their drought. I put up 3 more 25w uvb lights, 4 in total. 1 directly over the ny diesel, one attached to a little oscillating fan...seeing if the mover works.. and 1 over each chocolate kush, and one chocolate in the middle that I don't have anything on but light and whatever it catches from the other lights. They haven't stretched yet...just making flowers and recouping, I think I might have a pretty full tent pretty soon. Or I fucked it up and I get a weak ass finish!

Oh, that sucks. Get your rh up to slow them down, while you employ heavy artillery. Neem isn't good enough, but a derivative of it, Azamax is: active ingredient is azadirachtin, several brands have it. Azamax is OMRI listed. The important thing with any pesticide, but especially organics, is to follow dosing instructions carefully, and even more important, you want to reapply on the recommended interval. Spraying once is never enough; it's the repeated application that gets not only the adults, but also eggs and young.

The alternatives of floramite and avid are out there and they are very effective, but they are also very powerful man-made chemicals that can persist on the plant after it's harvested. If you go that route, be aware of the risk you're asking the smoker of that product to take.

To minimize, if not eliminate, such risks, spray these materials only on cuttings, plants in veg or no more than a week or two into the 12 hour bloom cycle. The earlier the better so as to not only give the chemicals time to break down, but also because the plant hasn't yet produced buds, thus allowing them to grow as uncontaminated by residual traces as possible.

If you're past that point in your cycle and the mites hit the scene, use only the organic pesticides out there, and only the ones with minimal residual activity. Stay on top of your application repetitions because that's how you get young, old and eggs.

I've tried such horticultural oils, and they inhibit but do not control support mites. No bueno, compadre- you need the Azamax. It's still an organic, OMRI listed, and finally, it is also in fact a horticultural oil in its own right!

I know that feeling! The only feeling worse than that is the one I got after looking through my 120x microscope at millions of microscopic little fucking russet mites! I'd had the little motherfuckers for years before making the discovery. I felt violated.

I got even, though. Not only did I kill every last one of them and all of their children, but I now offer advice on how to find and eradicate them from other people's gardens!

Kill... Kill... KILL... KILL THEM ALL!!!!

whatever works best for you. If your running a recirculating system, i would let the azamax run through for at least 24 hours. I tried uploading the dilution tables for ya, but i think i uploaded the whole direction book o_OZ

I read pesticide labels for fun, an affliction I share with Squiggly. I was reading in the Avid label about how its persistence can be increased by the use of a horticultural oil mixed in with it- so I used Azamax! It's an oil based product, right? I did it twice. Everything is gone, and I'm sure it has a lot to do with helping the Avid last longer. Russet mites have a 6 day life cycle, and I'm pretty sure Avid with Azamax was persistent and active for at least 2 weeks.

Dude. The first thing I said in my post was that I read pesticide warning labels for fun. The tip about mixing it with horticultural oil both makes less be more effective (always good) and makes it float in the air less, so it's not as bad to breathe.

No pesticide is completely safe. Fucking cinnamon oil will burn the shit out of you!

No offense but I feel strongly about not recommending that poison to anyone I care about. That's meant for outdoor only and not to mention it says not to use near neighborhoods!

If you feel there is a safer alternative that's still effective, I'm all for it. I don't use pesticides lightly, and I certainly don't spray them just because the calendar says to; I target its use to a specific threat, and I generally work my way up the ladder from mild/organic stuff to the hard shit only if I'm not getting results.

I hear your concerns, but I find that people who criticize without offering specific alternatives to be unhelpful.

Russet mites are nasty, populate wildly, and are so small (microscopic, need 120x just to see them) that they get missed a lot in people's gardens, which means they have had the chance to become resistant to many insecticides already.
