Not sure when to harvest

I don’t even know what a loupe is 😂 is there like an old timer way to tell when it’s time without using tools?

Post some fresh pictures here every five days and someone here can try to guess if it's ready. Doesn't look ready to me right now. From my experience, most times the plants looks shriveled up and "done" almost like an old person close to retiring from life. At least some of the leaves should be shriveled up and curled in and you should be able to see visually without any tools that half of the trichromes are amber. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. Probably can even google pictures of "cannabis ready to harvest" and just look at a bunch of those pictures and you should have an idea of what you'll be looking for.

I’ve heard that but I just didn’t know if there was a chance of waiting to long & it messing up the potency

Do you want some white pistils when you harvest or do they all need color
That means nothing, some varieties keep throwing white hairs the whole way, don't rely on the hairs. Buds don't look fully developed to me

Well, I would rather wait too long than harvest too early. I think I did that once, and basically it didn't get me high at all. Just gave me a headache. Complete waste of a grow. Learned my lesson. Not sure if that's a normal thing, but that's the way I saw it. I'd stay on the safe side and risk harvesting too late which I doubt most people would here would let you do. Pretty sure everyone here would come to some kind of consensus when they see it looking ready or tell you to like stop watering it and then wait the four more days just to finish it off and then chop. But, it really does look like it needs another week or two at least.

Also, does your phone have a "macro" mode? See if you can use that to take some much closer pics to have the trichromes at least a bit more zoomed in?

What is the variety please? The percentage between sativa and indica is important. And the high you want is important too. Looking at the pics, no where near harvest yet. How long in flower already?

If you have a phone that can magnify pics, you can get an idea by upping the magnification and taking pics of the buds themselves. Then you can see if the trichromes are clear, cloudy, or amber.

One trick is to see when the buds stop producing new „hairs“ - that’s when to start looking at trichromes. The hairs on this plant are young and vibrant-so it’s still producing thc but not yet near peak production.

Another trick, clear trichromes will pick up the color around them. So make sure the trichromes just aren’t echoing the brown hairs near them.

My general comment - based upon the hairs with no additional info,at least 3 weeks from harvest. The variety and high you want will have an impact on that.

Harvest when trichomes are milky, that's the most definite indicator that the plant is ready
