Hello,

This is my first grow ondoors, and I have started to notice white spots developing on the plant leaves, more-so at the canopy level. Is this mold or a mineral deficiency?
Also how can I reverse it if possible? And prevent it next time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Mildew. You need to get on that. Cause very humidity in tent with not enough circulation.

Add full-strength white distilled vinegar to a spray bottle and spray it on the mold. Let it sit for at least an hour before wiping away mold. If you need follow-up scrubbing, combine one teaspoon baking soda with two cups of water. Pour it into a spray bottle, shake and spray it onto the mold.

Cover the pot with plastic wrap and put the plant in the shower. Rinse very well. Spray again and rinse. Do this at least twice. Shake her off good.
Make sure you blow dry. Check for anything you missed every day.

That is what they call pm or powdery mildow. U cannot spray anything but zymes in flower and at this point there too far gone anyway. Unfortunately toss them clean everything twice start over. Pm is the worst...

What is your rh, temp,? Powder mildew for sure. There are a few things out there you can use during flower. If you are the one smoking it.

Damn man. That sucks! I honestly like to keep my relative humidity a lot lower than most people. Even during veg. Sorry that happened...

Mullet,

It’s toe tag time. That is an impressive load of powdery mildew, we’ll done. I guess as your trashing this years crop go back and look at the grow log. The tent must have had some serious humidity for a while.

Questions…
Is this the first year you have grown in the same tent enclosure?
See it all the time, the spores load builds with each crop. They are fastidious buggers and will over winter. At some point Whammo - you’re loaded with PM.
Have you ever disinfected the tent after harvest?

Recommendation..

Trash and perform some serious cleaning - hypochlorite and spoeklenz will disinfect. Alcohol and peroxide do nothing. Use either alcohol or peroxide - dampen a rag and wipe down surfaces to remove the bleach and/ or spoeklenz residue. Don’t forget to clean under the flaps and such.

Hey Zill,

Thanks for the info.
This was the first grow indoors, and I think the plants were too big before we set them to flower causing overcrowding and excess moisture. Also making it harder for the fans to circulate the air inside the tent.
Thanks for the tips, unfortunately I gotta learn the hard way this time

Nothing wrong with that, learning from experience.

Consider using a couple of the computer muffin fans to better circulate air under the canopy. They are small and can push a lot of air.

Good luck!

thats bad powdery mildew, never let it get that bad. you can spray baking soda dissolved in water.

No matter how bad it is it is in the plant it doesn’t matter when you see it or how bad it is it’s still in the plant.
You don’t see it till it’s taken hold

You can also use milk however none of that’s going to sterilise it nor make it smokeable or safe to do so
Ya I tore them all down and cleaned everything twice over. The plants just grew too big for that area and restricted the airflow even with the 2 fans. Starting up again next week. Hope it goes better..lol
