Sorry, but to me, it looks like major damage from your fungus gnats... You probably had a heavy infestation and your roots are probably eaten alive.

I hope you make it to finish without them dying.

how far I have been using the mosquitoes dunks throughout and just recently flush them out with hydrogen peroxide.
