Hello farmers, Hydro here--wrapping up my first grow that's been a decade in the making!

Super excited, and thankful for everyone here and all the information I've been able to get here. That said I wanna summarize the info in this article and leave it for everyone, because reflecting on every post talking about recommended mixing instructions makes me wonder how many of us are doing it wrong

So-my old way of doing it (WRONG)
Silica 2ml:1L
Calmag 2ml:1L
Base A+B 2ml:1L
Pk booster 2ml:1L
Vit B Compound 2ml:1L
Microbes 2ml:1L

And I would use this to achieve a desired PPM of around 975
NOTICE that the base nutes are lowered while the supplements all run full strength(essentially starving the plants of its base and overdosing everything else)
And each liter of 40 in the reservoir would be built that way

But NO WAY man
Youre supposed to mix a partial reservoir FULL STRENGTH per the manufacturers instructions--then water down to the proper PPM with plain water (pHd if needed)

So I mix 5 gallons at the 4ml/L base per feed chart

Then the supplements
(1400ppm)
NOTE :NON FEED ITEMS THAT DONT AFFECT PPM--HUMICS, MICROBES, ENZYMES CAN BE ADDED FULL STRENGTH TO EVERY LITER

Then Add 3 gallons water to get to 950 ppm

The New ratios:
Silica 1.1ml:1L
Calmag 0.4ml:1L
Base A+B 2.2ml:1L
Pk booster 1.1ml:1L
Vit B Compound 1.1ml:1L
Microbes 2ml:1L
Enzyme 2ml:1L

Thus providing the proper ratios at an EC the plants can use and preserving (i assume) osmotic pressures without limiting the important elements in the base or whatever product you'd reduce the amounts of to control ppm.

Was mind blowing info--hope it helps!

Lol it's my first grow!
And im in Hydroton
To mimic the environment provided by soil you need at least a good microbial product, base, calmag, silica.....have you tried growing WITH it all?
