Nutrient free grow...has it been done?

I am in HF soil just flipped at 4 weeks and havent used any yet.

Im considering using this FF Microbe Brew only. Its got low amounts of really good stuff including active biologicals to keep my sortof live soil going. I have everything....just want to hold off until the plant tells me different.

Understanding theres potential for less yield but.....we'll see.

Well this guy's chill. He is all about soil and organics and stuff. And his videos are about as long as a doobie. I haven't done a pure soil only. But I might once I used to these LED lights. Used to use COBs and they sucked. Went HPS. Now LED array and the plants are eating more food now. So the water only grow does seem like a logical next step.

A friend on another forum did a top-feed only grow in amended soils. Vegged in Happy Frog, flowered in Ocean Forest, in a tall pot with space left above the soil. He kept adding OF to the top as flower progressed. Seemed to work well.
