Hello Farmers,

I was wondering if there are any Organic nutrients to help bulk up my buds or even help with trichome production? My Plants are doing okay, just not as big and smelly as other folks that I have seen. I am in the 5th week of flower and There's pistils and trichomes, but not anything huge.
I know genetics play a huge part of it and I read that keeping it as dark as possible(no light leaks) during the dark times an important role. But is there anything else? My main goal is to have medicine that works for me, but I do love the smell of the herb and wish I could get something that I can enjoy smelling or tasting.

The pictures are of what they look like now. The first is a colorado diesel and the second is a DJ Shorts Blueberry. If anyone has grown any of these, what time do they usually start smelling and really getting full?
from what I have heard, when you dry them, they shrink more than half the size, so looking at these...... I got some really tiny buds. :(

Thank you everyone for the input. Iguess I am just overly worried. I will check out that Crystal catalyst, have you used it before Johnny prince?

It is tough to get large buds fully organic when you are starting out. You have to spend some time tweaking and doing multiple runs with the same strain. Organics is about taste. IMO.

If you are looking for P and K boosts...
P - Bone meal, Seaweed, Rock Phosphate, Fish Bone Meal, Greensand(not immediate) , Guano
K - Kelp/Seaweed

If you want a jug... I hear Budswell works great during the last 2 weeks. (No experience)
I use Neptune's Harvest Fish and Seaweed. Usually find it at a nursery for less than $12.
I've also used Humic-12 from Age Old Organics with questionable results. Can't say good or bad.

I can say for a fact that AACTs really helped me when I was full organic. Go for a longer brew (12-17 hrs) and get a higher fungal AACT.

I hope this helps answer your question.

I think your plants look very healthy. As shawnskush says above. Be patient.

The Blueberry is a low-medium yielding plant and the buds don't get huge, but they do get really dense. I'm not sure what the genetics are for Colorado Diesel, but the NYC Diesel I just harvested got almost as dense as the Blueberry Hashplant, but the buds were a little longer and leafier, and yielded slightly more.

IME the Diesel could probably go an extra 5-10 days longer then the Blueberry, but the trichomes will tell you when there ready. I used Snow Storm Ultra throughout flower and it helped pack on trichomes, plus its organic so if you ever use it keep it in the fridge or it will get mold inside of the bottle in less then a month depending on temps.

I know the SSU helps with trichs, but if you want something to bulk your buds you should just increase P and K during week 6 and that will help, there really isn't anything special about the flower bulking nutrients out there, all the bulking agents that I know of is mostly just P and K.

Keeping your plants healthy, the environment optimal and having the most light on them without bleaching or burning will get you a good yield depending on genetics, if you really wanna get big buds look for a strain that is known for high yields and big buds like Big Bud (had to say it, hee hee), Donkey Dick, ect. Good luck.

Thanks lex, I am gonna go look for the Crystal Catalist or the Snow Storm ultra today at the grow store. Maybe too late for the Blueberry since it is coming down in about two weeks, Iwill do my final feeding today, but I will use it on my others.
The only info I ocould find on the Colorado Diesel says that it is Sour Diesel X Afghani#1IBL, but she looks like she hasn't grown a bit in about 2 weeks. I am also gonna look for a scope today.
I am new to this but where to people get seeds? I am kinda worried about ordering online, the only thing I been doing is geting clones off of craigslist and I made clones off of what I had gotten, but would like to get some strains with big yields like Big Bud and that DonkeyDick, lol

I get all my seeds online from Canada, the chance of them seizing a small letter with a few seeds is very slim. They usually check bigger packages for large shipments of drugs, not little envelopes.

If your in a med state I guess you could get clones from a dispense, but I never heard of them selling seeds. Its relatively safe to buy seeds online, you just have to go with a seedbank that has a great reputation, like THCBay right here, at The Farm or Attitude, there popular and have almost every breeder in the world.

Thank you,I spent some time this morning browsing the site and I saw Alot of Strains here on THCBay that I really wanna try. Also seen the Buy now option so thats Awesome, definately gonna try some of them out.
I did go to my growstore and didn't see the Crystal Catalyst but I was able to grab some Snowstorm ultra, I am gonna give it a try and see how it goes.
Thank you everyone that helped me out in this thread, Great to learn these things and experience them, hopefully I can be able to pay it forward and give help to others in the near future.

I've seen lots of strains I want on the Bay too, they got some great genetics.

The SSU is supposed to be used during the entire bloom phase, but it will probably still help if you use it the last couple weeks. Just make sure you keep it in the fridge once you open it, good luck.

Do not burn your flowers with an unknown nute go easy at first. I had DJ's cut from his mom. Mine were not finished that quick and from experience I found people with the lack of it take 2-3 weeks longer. JK

Oh yeah, it says to use it at 5 ml per gal, I used it at 2 ml per gal and 3 ml at the most during week 5-6. I did not use it during flush, Just water, epsom and sugar during flush for my plants.

Hmmmm....... It said should finish in 8 weeks, I just got a scope the other day and while looking at the trichomes I didn't see any amber, mostly clear and milky. Should I wait till I see amber before I start flushing or you think that'll happen quick? Whithin the next 2 week?

You can start flushing before you see any amber trichs, but I wouldn't harvest until 10-50% trichs are amber, I usually harvest around the 10-20% mark.

If they are mostly milky, it won't take long for them to start turning amber, probably another week or so. I would start the flush now.

I would agree if they are that advanced, I finish my flush mostly at the 1/3 - 1/2 cloudy mark. As I like a little lift in my meds.

Aww man, bottles of water, I got sick of filling up 1 gal jugs and carrying them down the stairs so I bought a 30 gal tote and I use that for my rez plus I got a 5 gal bucket I use too.

Good luck and I'm sure you will be happy with the Blueberry, my Blueberry Hashplant turned out great. I love the dense, dank Blueberry buds that smell like blueberry muffins after a slow dry and short cure, but the slower you dry and the longer you cure the better, it really brings out the blueberry smell.

I haven't been on much lately, but I think its cause I harvested and just been enjoying it,lol I didn't get a huge harvest, I got 19grams from my colorado diesel and 12grams from my Blueberry. I set some aside for curing and I have been smoking some and I LOVE It!!! Haven't smoked any of the blueberry yet though, Im letting it cure right now.
One thing I noticed, I was worried about not having a lot of trichromes on my buds, but shoot, man, I let my blueberry go longer then I planned, I wanted to let the soil dry up all the way, so I waited till the leaves got all droopy, but the last 2 days I noticed a lot of trichrome development and also bud growth it was crazy. It wasn't like this on my other one, so I think someone here mentuioned starving your plant the last few days before harvest would help tricromes. I was impressed!
