Thanks Slap.... that's very kind of you but I think the results of the vios will be crap tbh! They don't look anything like the few grow diaries I've found of them and there's way way too much popcorn bud. If what I do get smokes well then I'll be happy.

Just need these bitches to hurry up and get done! Gave them a full EC2.2 hardcore hit of Ripen to give them an unsubtle hint and trimmed away some fans blocking bud sites.

I also have an ankle like that(tryed to kick mate through front window of moving bus and missed)never thought it would heal properly,was a couple of years ago now and never get any jip from it,healed really well.You'll soon be running round your garden:dance

Update:

I had powdery mildew setting in so I culled everything in the flower tent tonight: 3 Violators (on day 58 of 65ish), and the TW and RP, just because they had to go.

The good news is that I have the same cuts from the TW and RP growing in my medium tent, so I'll still get to smoke it - it'll just take a month or so longer.

The violators could easily have done with another week, with a lot of white pistils still. Fortunately I've been flushing them with Ripen for about 5 days, so they've had some kind of a flush.

The TW and RP have gone into the shake bag to make bubblehash next week.

So, big shame but they were monsters, and freaky ones at that. One of them produced very little bud but what it did produce was absolutely crystalline. Another produced a massive cola, not much else. The other was average.

Got to get some drying screens tomorrow if poss, and then repot and move over the vegging stuff.

It's good also that it didn't happen earlier. At least now you have some smoke...even if it is a bit early. We've all had to pull early before for one reason or another. Don't sweat it.

Fantastic grow report, theres a few mistakes but we've all made them and you've got some really nice crystally buds that you just cant get on the high street :clapping. Cant wait to see your next grow.. Big-Up Fast forward!

A passionate gardner is his own worst critic. You grew some nice buds FF and learned some valuable lessons, I would say it was a very productive grow. For the first year I have called my garden a "Comedy of Errors".

Alrighty....I've had the temp set to 20c in there and the stems are brittle, plus the outsides are slightly crispy....so I jarred 'em.

Final scores on the doors:

3 x Barney's Violator Kush (femmed)
147g total (5.25 oz) under a 600w = 0.245 g/watt (wasn't exclusively violators under that light).

First impressions:

Doesn't smell all that tbh. The heavy citrus smell in flower didn't really carry into the buds at this time - some of them do, but others just don't smell. Not massively impressed with the buzz either....it might be early days but in all truth I enjoyed the lowryder#2 a lot more.

Soooooo....that was my first grow :) Thank you SO much for tuning in and all the good words, advice and encouragement. What started out as OG Kush ended up as Violator Kush (and nowhere near the genes by the looks of it!!)...

I've learned SO much...things can only get better, and I've got proper genetics in the works now (ain't the right DNA and Sub?!)

Might as well tag on a quick smoke report/ramble, seeing as I'm pretty well mullered and about a j away from bed :)

This stuff smells so weird...some of it smells like semolina??! Did a smoke test with a fellow farmer tonight and he was impressed by it....looks, smell and buzz. Not what I had in mind, and doesn't taste of any kind of kush imho.

FF's Mini Smoke Report (Marco's is great but too long and I'm not that sophisticated!)

Taste: Semolina with vague citrus highlights
Buzz: 80% treble 20% bass, maybe less. Very toppy for a kush? Doesn't feel like any kind of an indica tbh. Very much in the head, very little body...but moderately strong (maybe very strong to mortals...arf).

I don't find it an enjoyable, tasty smoke atm. It doesn't have any of the flavours I like in my smoke (skunky, fruity, kushy, hazy...all good...semolina...errrmm...no). The buzz is competent but no warmth from it whatsoever. All eyes and temples.

Ah yes, this was cut down early...so the trichs must have been mostly clear....because this is more of a sativa high than it is an indica buzz.

Anyhow, I'll be smoking semolina until the TW and RP is ready in early December so I'll get used to it. Maybe it'll get better with time, but I seriously doubt it...

Alreeeeet...gonna roll a chunky one with this nug of white russian that my mate left me and hit the hay....:sleepy

Remember I had to chop them early, but it wasn't a million miles away from their 55-65 day indication. I've also seen a couple of really good violator kush grows, and some impressed smoke reports....so ymmv and all that. And it was my first grow :)

Got some G13 Haze in now...if they don't turn up nicely then I thikn it's fair to say I'll never buy a Barney's seed again ;)
