Here we are, today marks the two week mark (14days) for flowering. Since I’ve never grown out to flower before (or so long ago that I honestly don’t remember) I’m not sure exactly what to expect. The one on the left smells fruity/gassy right one doesn’t have much of a smell when I run the leaves. Both seem VERY happy. And if they are happy I am happy. I think I’m getting two separate pheno’s. One looks more northern lights heavy and one looks more skunk heavy. I think the denser one is more NL. But I have no clue. Can’t waittttt!!! Also curious as to what I can get with this 330w light.
*Again, any questions, comments, constructive criticisms, I am more than happy to take, any help is good help. I can take some extra pics also.*

Today is day 20 and they’re girls are looking good! I plan on doing a full leaf strip by tomorrow and they will be the last defoliation for the grow.

Now looking over my plants I DID find on and only one hermie banana. I am almost %100 certain it’s from high heat as it did wander upwards of 85°F but never broke 90°f. Maybe a day too dry when I was at work too.
I looked over the plant with a magnifying glass and only found the one, so I’m deciding to pluck it, can anybody give me advise on how to remove a banana without spilling pollen everywhere? Or are they underdeveloped and I shouldn’t worry and just pluck?

Because the plant on the left is extremely bushy, covering quite a few bud sites. One on the right has more spacing and needs less removal. I am a fan of the theory of defoliation after the last week of the flowering stretch so the plant is “focusing on bud swell”.

Another reason I want to trim is to look if more banners have grown. I plan to pluck and keep it going, don’t think I’ll be able to grow during summer, might be too hot, so I’m trying to get as much as I can from these two

Alright, alright, alright,
Yesterday marked day 21 for flower, and you know what that means kids’, right?!? Last heavy defoliation for the ladies!!! Now before I get roasted for it,I will say that everyone I know who personally grows, does this, and everyone who I have been researching before starting to grow defoliates to one degree or another, hell one of my buddies said I should take more off, but this is where I wanted to cut back to and felt comfortable.
*Also a side note, I’ve ordered the roots organic terp tea bloom booster, which should get here just in time to start using it, should help with packing on weight for them.*
Before pics:

After:

A reason why I’m doing it is to get more bud exposure to direct light.
I also believe they have stopped stretching, so a few questions to you fine folks reading this: should I lower the lights at all?
When should I stop adding silicon to the watering?
I’ll be getting some Ball mason jars soon as well as some sort of usb microscope, these eyes ain’t what they used to be lol
*Any comments, suggestions, constructive criticisms, anything that proactively helps is appreciated!* *****

Looks good man, I schwazze also! How close are the lights and what kind? Depending on how intense the light is you can run it anywhere from 12 inch and up. 12 inch from canopy may give it light stress so I'd start at 14 or 15 inches to see if anything changes on the top leaves. Don't want burn or stress cuz they act funny and look funny when that happens lol

good words of encouragement! Feeling better about the haircut.
the lights are 330w @ %100 and about 2ft away +/- as of right now, I have not touched them since I started from seedling honestly just thinking in their maturity they can take a little more.
here are thePAR maps from the ChiLED website for 24 in 18 in and 12 in (in that order):

Right on man yea timing is crucial for that method of defoliating, anything past about day 21 wil increase chances of herm and you gotta feed em at same time of trim. I decided to use the method so I don't get as many leaves laying on each other making moist spots. I defoliate multiple times in veg as well. It gives more branches so you gotta be picky when pruning or lollipoping cuz you will get loose larfy stuff farther away from the light. Intensity bulks buds better but gotta find that sweet spot where you get the most from your light and plant without toasting the tops lol

Now I think I fucked up with RH.

I miscalculated the timer on my humidifier and went to check after lights off and my meters red %99 humidity, and yes there was moisture on the walls also!!!!! I shut the humidifier off and opened the door to dry out a bit (no lights on in the room) and it evened itself out pretty quickly. No funky smells coming from the tent and waiting for lights on to look at them before I have to rush to work, hoping I didn’t fuck them up :(

Ok, couldn’t check them yesterday during lights on, stuck my head inside the tent yesterday and no funky smells whatsoever.
went to check on them at lights on this morning and the tent is getting STINKY :)
No signs of pm or mold, inspected each branch and still looking good. Side note my humidifier stopped working, but it was a cheapy $30 Amazon basics unit. It served its purpose. Have another one in the bedroom if I REALLLLLLY need it.
many ways here are a couple pics of the tallest colas:

Ok so yesterday was about day 35 ish. I got a little WiFi microscope to use with my phone and watch the trichromes. Here are pics of the left plant as it’s much heavier in trichrome production.

any ways here are a couple pics of the tallest colas:

How am I looking overall? I see some white and still mostly clear heads so far. Mostly white pistols and still growing them. Also stsrted the Roots Organic Bloom Booster per their schedule, so I’m hoping they will start to fatten up soon Still have at least another 30 +days.

Yesterday was day 106 total (+/-) and day 37 of flower counting from when I flipped the lights. I know I shouldn’t expect much but I can’t help but hope for a decent weight from this one plant. I figure I can mostly grow during the winter, as it can get too hot in my apt, even with AC temps can get into the 90’s and not sure if I should just try sativa dom’s or wait till it gets cooler again. I also ordered another light bar for my setup that attaches to my frame, and give it better coverage and penetration. Also, it will equal a growcraft x3 330w. I DO eventually plan (down the line) to get a 600w driver for the system also.
here are pics of some of the lowers: (I wish I had space to clone, I would’ve cloned this for sure)

Thanks man, can’t wait for the swell to end and the harvest window sets in. I plan on waiting for about %15 amber, I realllllly love the couchlock and heavy body highs.

Little video of the microscope and a couple of the tops on the left plant. I can see some amber trichromes starting to pop out. Today is day 45 in flower, should be ready in the next few weeks. Hoping to get it chopped and cured for my birthday, end of may.

Here we are, day 49 from flip, total days 118. Gave them their last feeding yesterday with 1tbls terp tea bloom and 1tsp of terp tea bloom set to 6.5ph.

All that’s left is watering with plain water and maybe a heavier flush towards the end with ph’d water. I’ve been keeping track of trichromes and there are more and more Amber’s starting to pop up on the sugar leaves, can’t really get deep into it to check deeper. Still spitting out white hairs though, but planning on chopping in about two weeks.

Left plant would be a keeper if I had room for clones :/

I plan on drying in the tent, then rinsing with some h202 to clean it out, installing the 3rd light bar then trying for a summer run with either Slymer x Wilson or Tangie x slymer x Wilson. Maybe northern lights x willie Nelson x Wilson. Or research more on what I have that’s more sativa leaning for the hot summer
