On May 21, 2025, the Texas House passed Senate Bill 3 with a 95–44 vote, aiming to ban all consumable hemp-derived THC products, including delta-8 and delta-9, while exempting CBD and CBG. The legislation, championed by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, introduces strict penalties: possession becomes a Class A misdemeanor, and manufacturing or selling is a third-degree felony. Critics, including veterans and hemp industry advocates, warn the ban could devastate the state's multibillion-dollar hemp sector and push consumers toward unregulated markets. The bill awaits final procedural steps before reaching Governor Greg Abbott's desk, with opponents urging a veto to protect public health and economic interests.

@SunshineSupergirl

The GOP "Big Beautiful Bill" the House passed has some bad stuff in it for Cannabis too.
They are still measuring off of the quip of some British Botanist who said on camera decades ago that Hemp is less that 0.3% THC. That guy was just making stuff up that supported his opinion. Now that moment is the reference for our Laws?
Anyway the bill
Has some bad stuff in it and not just for Cannabis. I say that is Takes from the poor to give to the rich, changes the laws so the Executive (President) is not subject to contempt charges for defying the Courts, Wipes out the Hemp Industry and placed the social safety net in danger.

Okay replying to myself like any lonely man. Please Please @SunshineSupergirl I hope you are paying attention to the most "Texas-Cave" One can imagine. The Lone Star State has put a pipe in it's mouth and it's not tobacco! To extremists it is a phallic. To the wannabe next it is a possible fund raising issue but we all see it.. The legal "HEMP" has kicked the Texas Ass. They bow to money not morals.

Okay that build up is followed by a counting crows link to YouTube because I'm high and to an article a person can see as a referenct to the generality of the topic which I wish them to be WOKE!

Now that Texas has fallen will they stop putting free people in Cannabis Slavery there or will it take two years after it's Federally legal before they tell Texans' it's legal?

Your thoughts and my humble replies to you @SunshineSupergirl

I say Slap Texas on the Ass and call it Sally.. Yeehaw
