This is when we as farmers squish that little meanie head on our shoulder telling us it’s not going to work or it’s not a good idea!I was feeling a little down on the matter.
Right.Outdoor growing sure ain't for sissees. It's hard work trying to keep up with all the crap nature throws at us. Your doing what you can with what you got. Let's all hope we can get through this without much loss. Good luck
See, I’d really like to get my hand on the feral hemp that grows in the Midwest because it’s already well adapted to my climate. Obv would take a few generations of breeding to get good flower, but then you’d have the perfect outdoor plant. If anyone knows a good place to find some (hopefully not Indiana cuz it’s hella illegal there.)Right.
But when everything does go right its a sight to behold. Potency too, everything is great.
I'm gona make a note to mix in some AK-47 OG next time. The last time they were in full flower by the end of July. And they reach maturity sooner than any plant that I know of.
Usually they fair better here. I should of picked my own strains that part was not the best plan.
Although genetics are quite nice. a couple are too delicate for the rigors of outdoor life, so far it seems.
Look in to AK-47 OG. I probably grew this one most because finish time is 7 weeks give or take a few days.I like to switch up my strains and don't always have the best outcome. I want to try so many newer indica hybrids and they sometimes are slow in my climate like now LOL. Wanted to try blueberry muffins outside and for me with what i used pot size and feeding i could of done better. I did choose 65day flowering plants but it does not look like they will finish by end of Sept like my plan. The purple kush x white widow is further along and healthier. So yes anytime i grew a kush outdoors seems to withstand the heat better. Have done Bubba and Og kush outdoors both those strains finished up without problems.
Man we know what your feeling as it gets down to the wire of harvest. Please please just give us 3 more weeks of decent warmth an sunshine pleaseeeeeeeeeeHanging in there. The remaining girls 3 4 and 5 seem to be enjoying the extended sunshine.
And getting super sugary and hardening up quite nice. These must be real nice nearer to 8 /9 weeks. The calyx's are already swelling up.
3 weeks and 3 days.
Im hesitant to fertilize with the PM outbreaks. Just incase they come out early. I also refuse to elaborate tooooo much from now on and becoming superstitious.
The smoke from the bluey nugs on the biggest girl is delicious, I quite like it. I have about an ounce dried from jumping the gun in fear of more PM. Well, there actually more of a maroon colour.
I actually had a bad dream about that
I wouldnt be concerned if I didn't already chop two down on the weekend and throw out gobs of forming colas.Man we know what your feeling as it gets down to the wire of harvest. Please please just give us 3 more weeks of decent warmth an sunshine pleaseeeeeeeeee
Wow, that sounds like an amazing setup! The combination of different indica strains with those organic amendments seems like a recipe for success. I really like how you're alternating the feeding percentages based on the plants' progress—it shows you have great attention to detail. The 5.5 hours of direct sunlight should work wonders too! Looking forward to seeing how the garden turns out. Keep up the great work! One garden with 5 different indica strains.
10 bags/per 30L top soil with following amendments:
: % sea life compost, kelp shellfish and a bunch of other morsels plants like to thrive on.
: % crushed powder dolomite lime.
: 10 lbs of worm castings.
: % sheep manure.
weekly feeding schedule:
per 8 litres of gassed off water.
1 oz. pbp grow.
1 oz. pbp blooms.
2 caps calcium.
2 caps silicate solution.
I always alternate feeding percentages as things progress. Always start with less until you have time to gauge how the plants react.
Light :
5.5 hours direct mid day high intensity natural sunshine.
On with the grow show. Thanks for dropping by.
Im not sure if you read the part about powder mildew.Wow, that sounds like an amazing setup! The combination of different indica strains with those organic amendments seems like a recipe for success. How’d you fare!? : )PM just isnt that interesting. Well I learned a lot about it in the old gardenscure but that place was jam packed with the hardest core scientific and technical nerds. In a complimentary way. Things were different back then. And well, I guess everything was.
I wonder whats in store for 2025. With all the events that are twirling.
Sets up his growt tent.
Catch you on the flipside.
Ciao
