PGP.sig are just signatures. I believe you can see them raw in notepad. What program are you using to encrypt/decrypt PGP on Windows? use that. Or what are you trying to do in the first place?

PGP is a bit more complicated than that. What is the EXACT name of the PGP program you are using? I will try to find out specific instructions on how to use the PGP signature to decrypt your email.

When I used Windows. I use Thunderbird Email Client

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

+

The Enigmail Plugin for Thunderbird handles PGP and OpenPGP

Here are directions on how to install it all.

You need to install GNUPG first.

http://www.gnupg.org/

So I would remove the PGP desktop client you have.

I feel GNUPG is more secure because it is peer-reviewed and every hacker in the world can submit fixes and bugs, not so with a commercial client as the "official" PGP.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think you're kind of out of your realm.

If you want a secure chat with whoever you want it with, I would suggest both of you install the Pidgin instant messaging client and the OTR plugin

http://www.pidgin.im/

OTR:
http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/binaries/windows/pidgin-otr-3.2.0-1.exe

If either one of you has Mac, it's all included in one package, AdiumX is basically using the same source code as Pidgin, but because of a lot of heavy modification to use on Mac, it deserves its own name:

http://www.adiumx.com/

The next plausible thing is to join an IRC server that has SSL, and you both connect to the secure socket layers port of that IRC server. Fairly secure.

Of course none of this is quite as secure as OpenPGP.
