I just made the switch to tap water from RO. Was sick of wasting a bunch down the drain even with the 1:1 restrictor .

My tap is city water at around 150 TDS so I wasn't too worried.

Here's a new run of DH at week 8 on the 4-4-9 from start

I'll upload a new spreadsheet when i get by a computer

I tried out your 4-4-9 mix and liked it. Super simple and cheap. I didn't run it till the end because I got broad mites and had to chop everything, but I didn't notice any problems with the nutrient mix. I've ran many nutrient lines in the undercurrent including lucas and cs. Lucas was one of my best runs, but I can see how your mix with the calmag could improve upon it.
It seems like you are having great success with the simple tent with no ac or co2, do you notice a benefit from your higher tech room with co2? Or is it just more screwing around?

Actually, the higher tech rooms DH colas look about 1/3rd the size of what the low tech room made with the same clone.

However, the higher tech rooms buds look way way way way way more heady. They might be denser. I'll know in two weeks

In the room with an amazjng environment , I noticed bloom additives didn't do anything beneficial.

At week 4 the liquid koolbloom @ 1.5ml per gallon burned the tips a tiny bit. At week 8 the powder bloom at 1/3 strength of .42 grams per gallon caused the DH to throw a few nanners here and there . I did not notice the swell like I did in the low tech room.

For the room with ac and co2, I'll be removing the koolbloom completely and just run the base. I'll up the bloom 2ml per gallon to make up for the lower p and k.

I also noticed the girls stopped eating in week 8 so I'll start the low ppm flush week 9 and chop at the end of the week

After running a low tech room and high tech room side by side, I say it's honestly worth the money to do it right and go all out. This dh clone has been around for 3 years and the way it looks now is completely unrecognizable. The same exact clone on the same exact nutrient schedule looks completely different between the two rooms

She's on her flush. Coming down in a few days.

My next run will be gsc. I'm running basically the same formula but removed the koolbloom and upped the base a smidge to get more p and k

The new base I'll be running is

3ml / gal calmag+
5ml / gal GH micro
11ml / gal GH bloom

That makes the profile 96 - 73 - 124 - 59 - 33 - 106

I'll be using tap but RO works as well without needing to make any modifications

Wow, thats a huge difference. What do you attribute that to? Everything in general being better, or mostly adding co2?

I wish I could answer that question. The low tech room lacks SO much. Even something as basic as air movement with oscillating fans.

Have you tried out the jacks hydroponic nutrients? Or read the cheap alternatives to overpriced nutrients thread? I've made the switch to them after trying many other things. Looks like your formula works great, but if you wanna pinch some more pennies the jacks formula is worth a try.

Sounds horrible :) However this thread has a topic and a running theme, so if you'd like to share formulas, here's the proper thread https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/nutrient-schedules-for-the-under-current-system.29795/

Cool thing about heavy 16 is they provide weights on their bottles..just saw on their website. You can work those ratios to gain a more suitable mj profile if you'd like.

Even tho my tap is .3 ec and city water, I was unfortunately not able to run it. Within 3 days all the water developed this white and brown foam in all the buckets and it's REALLY hurt the gsc cuts. I thinm its some sort of becteria. Im switching back to RO tonight and hoping the gsc recovers

Within the first 5 days of veg while using tap water, it almost killed my entire crop. Had to hit the system with h202 while tap and plants were in the system, then drain, then refill with ro. Luckily, everything's recovered and I'll be flipping in 3-4 days

Also, here's the deadhead from the high-tech room after a 3 week slow dry and 2 week jar cure. Taste and smell are out of this world. This is what true top shelf should be.

Gsc fcut with new 3-5-11 formula

They're loving it for the most part. My mg to ca ratio is barely 1:2 and the girls are def showing lil calcium def spots here and there.

I'll be reworking the formula to lean out p,k, mg and to up my calcium to a 1:3 ratio . I spend day and night searching all the forums to try and get my nutrient profile more proper. Slowly but surely I'll get there

I'm stuck in this thread https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=181405

Amazing information and it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm thinking if I go back to my 4-4-9 or slight variation of it but add in calcium nitrate which I found on eBay in powder form for very cheap, I can hit a really awesome feed

They're doing very well tho even with my faulty profile.

Here's a good leaf

And one showing calcium def

I've been on the same mix for over two weeks with just doing addbacks thru the epi. Things are starting to get old so when the lights go off I'll be dumping and putting a new batch in. I'll be running out the remainder of this run using 5-5-10 calmag-micro-bloom which gives me 109n 66p 114k 63mg 30s 126ca.

This is just a temporary mix to get me thru. I'll be looking into getting the third part of the GH flora series and starting with a 1-1-1 base and work from there
