I wasn't sure where to post this...

I just got my electric bill...... 700 bills for one month... ;(
and I was just getting ready to buy another light...


The oil heater for the GH is costing more than I thought it would..:(

This Base line crap is BS...I want a flat rate damn it!
Im paying four times the base rate!

Im thinking maybe if I get another Meter for my well pump that would help.
But it could be costly...got to look into that.


Any Suggestions?

whats baseline?
where i am i pay x cents per kw/h, 2 rates one daytime and one night time, i just run as much as i can at night

Jagle; it hard for me to explain...But
The electric Co. has 5 rates for residential customers...They give you a little for the low rate...then the more you use,,,,the higher the rate...

Sucks....Just the opposite of most things you buy...

They try to use "the energy shortage" as an excuse to kill me with this

There is No Frigging Energy shortage!!

The Frigging sun is full of Energy!!

hmm maybe can you try integrate some solar panels?
that or just start shutting down everything in your house your not using.

Yo Ken if u know a cool electrician n he will do it on the hush hush he can bypass the line on your meter with a hidden switch so you can turn your meter off 4 2 1/2 weeks then hit the switch b4 thry take the reading,u just have 2 keep an eye on your bill so u can mark your calandar ta hit the switch B4 they read the meter.Bin doin it for years now.

ya cos what you need to do, when threading a very thin line between legal and federally fucked (if your a medical patient in usa) or just illegal (rest of world), is to do more illegal things, which can be traced.

power companies can determine where the energy is being sucked from, watch cop shows most grow houses are busted because they are stealing the lectricity, now you might get away with just doing 4 hours at a time,

but id rather cut my consumption, then increase my jail time

I'd just pay the bill on time. In your situation, as a sorta family type dude, bypasses are going way gangster imo. You wanna risk that use at least a 24 pack of 1ks make it worth rollin them dice!
If ya need to save cash watch the power use n upgrade. I noticed a huge difference by switching to can fans to bring in fresh air than blowers. The can fans cool in bring in air much more effeciently for me at way way less wattage n I use four cans now instead two blowers.
I went from 2k in the blooms to 3600, my rooms are cooler in more vented than ever n bill stayed the same actually droped some.
++its better for me to blow air at different places in my sea with the can fans. Also seems modern circulating fans are a lot more efficient than the old dinosaurs...........this shiznits all about what works for you bro.

DO NOT STEAL ELECTRICITY.

We had cops walk our grow and the first thing they did was look to see if we were stealing electrical. We werent, and they left saying if we were, they wodul have had a reason to fuck us bigtime.

hey ken whats up buddy?..thats some bs, on how they charge you..we have a system the power company uses here. high rate at the start of the month then it tappers down, kinda gay but i just got a 375$ bill. im all electric brother..
this might b a pipe dream, but have you ever looked at water walls? them things work great but the ones ive seen are for single plants. i would think if some one could figure out how to get water walls on a green house, that would knock a gh power bill way down... just a thought:pimp:

So glad I don't have to deal with PG&E. I pay about 8.5c/KWH year round. I guess I can consider myself lucky.

Have you tried calling the electrical company and see if they can bring your cost down? Just tell them you have a jacuzzi that eats electricity. See if they can lower your rate or give you a commercial rate. A friend of mine did just that and got the cost of his bill cut a bit.

Panels aren't free, but they pay for themselves rather quickly in our line of work, then one huge expense becomes a thing of the past

I just want it a tier 1 or 2 rate

I will be getting some solar panels in a few months when I get my retirement annuity
I may get another meter for the well at the same time

May have to shut down MH and HPS for a while...;(

Get a big ole T5 to veg small ones
