Gotta get some Mexican marigolds. One of my guys brought me a bunch of seeds from Mexico. Waist high , not flowering yet. Biggest marigolds I’ve ever seen.

Fought some aphids and such last year been a long time coming doing companion plants glad I bit the bullet it'll be a regular thing there's alot to the marigolds I don't claim to know but they are way beneficial grandma knew lol I always wondered why marigolds everywhere every year by flats seemed like a waste I now start to understand 😊

Got me off into medical plants tons of natives also why certain plants struggle in different environments and how to get closer to natural while pushing it to the limits optimization started with learning a little about marigolds

Max dose fish fertilizer, plant tone, tsp kelp, guano, handful of DE, neem cake early on, epsom, my monthly rotation of goodies not all at once but at intervals, soil was bolstered with bone meal blood meal bat guano promix compost neem been over a month since any real feeding
There's probably some stuff I missed perilite dr earth biochar wood ash most in soil month and a half before any planting and turned most composted so there isn't a super high npk should have clarified

Dad taught me the method as a kid for a nice vegetable garden, truckload of cow poo 💩 then bone meal blood meal bat guano and good ole compost just keep tweaking it, i was doing on tarps for pots then to 30 gal holes in ground making soil, guess its a full circle progression to im going to do the whole yard yea im a bit crazy for it 😆 🤣

Fought a few roving buggers throughout even pre planting bt spinosad DE neem oil peppermint oil, as i was trimming and caging saw a couple plants had some pests been rainy didn't want to but they got neem this morning and again this evening and i mean i made sure top to bottom up their skirts, a few lower spots at 1st thought was something else misidentified was in process of treatments for that and finishing cages saw the truth no biggie next round spinosad and bt, removal of some leaves, bt good measures with all the web worms and such, ill throw more plant tone for good bacteria little boost, couple days I'll have to get up in make sure, keep running preventative

It is a relatively small area on a couple but it'll blow up if I don't hit em up ASAP also like the hose sprayer its aggressive but necessary, some droopy but stood right up

Gotta really get in there and somewhere around 3+ gallon to hit everything hard

Hydrophobic neem mainly suffocating action but bacillus spinosad bt citric acid sesame oil peppermint oil thyme oil garlic soap peroxide iso alcohol mainly depending on timing keep rotation

I knew i should continue my prevention but the wet weather was a major deterant to spray, didn't seem effective or smart to put more moisture on, keep on keeping on knocking them down

Gaining confidence over last few years working on self esteem trying to get out of my own way and really enjoying it, being refocused this year has been me just doing, going at it, i waited too often, didn't feel worthy, this is my year, more prepared less second guessing its all coming together regardless im proud, this is my calling its what I do, change is inevitable but this is where im at, its bigger than all of us ancestors smiling

Just chill bro. This ain’t the place. Everyone is pretty dang nice on here. One thing I’ve learned, nobody knows everything. Your crop looks great, as does most peoples on here. Relax and enjoy. It’s a party, not contest.
