Yeah the soap spray was the problem. Dont use oil based spray full strength. The manure at the bottom of the pot isn't the issue but u should always mix those dry ammendments into the soil not layer em

I’m brewing this tea for 48 hours then pouring half into another 5g bucket, topping up with clean water and applying.
question. Would it help to add microbes to the tea directly or to the soil an watering them in with the tea?

Adding microbes (not mycorrihizal) to your tea is fine, but I would avoid adding the manures and fertilizers. Use your tea to create microorganisms from compost and worm castings. Add ingredients to feed the microbial population (not your plants) like molasses, kelp, humic acid, rock dust, kelp, and fish hydrolysate, yucca, etc. When you apply your tea it will be full of microorganisms which will then break down your guano and organic fertilizer to make the nutrients available to the plant. This way the tea can never burn your plants as it's not chalked full of fertilizer and you can sprinkle/spray directly to the leaves to help inoculate them from disease. Apply your guano & frets as a separate step in your grow.

I think I also mixed the soil a bit hot in the bottoms as well. Looking good now though, it’s been hot and dry here so we’re watering every day about 7 gallons each.

Both, each plant gets about 7 gallons of water daily now. We’ve had a great summer but no rain to speak of for a while and these fabric pots dry quickly in the heat
