Check out this sativa dom, she'll end up with little to no leaves and the absolute easiest trimming job by harvest, easy 2 pounds every season. 14 week budding though. The strain is a local el chapo. Last time she ended up 7x10 ft with three pounds, and she wasnt even as big as this one. Hung her up and she was 13 ft long, with nothing but gram sized nugs to the base .

Yep, 104 today in my neck of the woods, thats a great idea, I have yet to use gypsum, does it add a fluff to the dirt? I figured after a watering it'd revert to stiff clay. Havent done much research though, definitely going to get some though!

will break it down, you be thinking you bought bag soil,,my place in east texas, black gumbo,,2500 sq ft garden,,went and plowed and till smooth, let it sit for a week ,went to feed store bought a ton of lime,a ton is a tractor bucket full, spread it all out about 2in thick over garden, plolwed and tilled smooth again, wait a week, had 15 yrds of red top soil brought in,spread it,plow and till, week later ,went to local mushroom plant got a bucket full of mushroom compost, spread ,plow and till,,then i put landscape cloth over entire garden, stapled in soaker hose down each row,and done,,only feed them plants got for 5 years was water, thats it,,so my tomato bed same shit,,clay is soft in cooler weather but still gummie, heat on you cant stick a post hole digger in it,,so bought that 5 gallon bucket of sheetrock mud, dumped it in the bed twice and did same with sand compost and lime over 3 month period,,never had blight which they great for ,never cal mag problem ,nothing, but water, when the triple digit hit,i put a top coat of chicken shit on the top and all good,,same for rose beds,,thing is ,it takes a little time to break that shit up,but when you do,as long as you dont neglect it,you will have excellant soil

That sounds like a plan I'll begin amending it by late fall, maybe use a bit more topsoil but my water is LOADED with calcium?? I feel like I can plant in HOT soil and the water(9.0) brings anything up to neutral or above so i need no lime i believe

I feel the pain first hand, I thought i was the only one with almost pure clay, Especially how it overcomes almost every amendment in just a few months, you can bury a bag of topsoil and come back a month later and see nothing but clay once again xD

I really enjoy your updates and thank you for sharing your grow with us.
I have a question, I also have a grow going in SoCal, and last year I got hit pretty hard with the caterpillars. I never sprayed with anything, not even the "safe" stuff. This year I put Tulle netting around my grow, and so far it's holding up quite well, even with the winds. The cabbage moths are thick this year (white butterflies) probably from last years wet winter. I love seeing them fly up to the net and bounce off a few times, then move along.
So my question for you is, what do you do to combat the bastards ? (sorry if you addressed this somewhere in this thread already)

Thank you sir,
IW
