Here is the FBK tester I had mentioned. Calyxes all over and producing a fair amount of resin for a plant under 24 hours of light. I pointed out the calyxes and circled some of the resin. I'd love to hear what others think of this. outwest I'm not...

I'm not sure what it is exactly, but the sweet tooth cut i've got does that too. early resin production and calyx formation in veg. she doesn't actually start to flower til i flip her, but some of the calyx formation can get kind of ridiculous.
within the last couple months, the mk ultra cut i've got started doing it too, though not as consistently as the sweet tooth, which has always done it since I've had it, but it is indeed puzzling with the MKU.

damn fine work you're doing here, outwest, your ladies are gorgeous and your garden looks great!
and thanks all for the tea talk, i feel like reading the thread over and taking notes!

Just switched out all the bulbs to 6500k. Should be good now. I could swear the plants looked a little relieved.

Yo, DJ! Thanks for stopping by. I have a clone of this plant that is also showing pretty strong feminine expression. Gonna veg her for another week or two, then flip her.

Speaking of flipping. . .got some girls that are a few days into flower.

Dank Sinatra - When I learned that she didn't stretch and I had a nice little cut, I flipped the Mom. Look forward to my first experience with Bodhi Genetics.

Long's Peak Blue. Not the best rep, I'll find a better one at some point.

Ghost OG. Or is it?

Chemdog 91. . .a cut from an S1. And the saga continues. Or does it?

Thanks, GC. Variety is critical. The fun never stops. All 4100k bulbs have been replaced with 6500k bulbs. I'm pretty sure that was part of the problem. I swear some of the zig-zagging is fading and the plants are growing straight and upright again.

So I'm looking at my mother tent tonight and thinking that I really don't need or want that many moms. Sooo. . .I hacked the hell out of the FBK's, gave them a thorough pest spray, and tossed them in the flower tent. I also threw in the ISS cut. Figured it's a readily available cut if ever needed again. No need to hold onto it. Everything else is happy. Hope these cuts don't stretch like mad.

All else is well. Enjoy the week ahead. Pictures when I'm a little less lazy. Made some cookies that were a bit on the strong as fuck side.

Thanks, Soser. I think it was a combination of stress overall. . .wrong light spectrum, small pot, malnutrition, general abuse. All is well now.

Damn OW everything looks great your a very consistent grower your plants always look real nice man I like that double diesel man its sounds too good haha also to throw a little light on that auto flower traits ive had 2 strains that did it under cfl/t5 and not under MH so in my instance I believe it was lack of light intensity 1 of the strains also did it when it got very root bound as BabaG stated so needless to say I dropped that girl from my stable I just wanted to throw out my observationsfrom when it happened to me anyway thanks for always dropping by my thread brother I appreciate it ill drop back in soon take care

thought out load wouldn't mother's become root bound no matter the size of the container. what is the solution to this that anyone uses , as I just started - well shall i say found two plants as mother's . Only thing I remember from my reading was to take out the plant cut or untangle the roots and add new dirt to bottom any idea's on mother maintenance and general container size but i guess that would be relevant to the clones needed and size of the space to keep them.......

You should up pot mothers continually or whenever YOU take cuts off of it you stop the rootbounding issue as when you take growth above the soil you take down the need/load of water the plant needs as it's ratio of top growth to root growth has changed. That is typically enough to stop it from flowering due to rootbound issues. I cut them a few times and start a new one, I don't like monster sized mom's as they can harbor pests easier, they get older which in turn weakens them typically and can be an avenue for pests more than health vibrant moms. So, keep cutting them when they need it, even if you don't need the cuts, cut them when they are asking for it :D

thank you and yes i did start two of mine into clones to start over to control size, so glad to here you approve of that as I was wondering if it took anything away from the integrity of the mother but a clone is an exact replica of mother correct . So being I am not currently in a position to use clones of the same strain. I will just keep making clones when the mother get to big of the strain's i wanna keep. Thank you for the advice Baba much appreciated .... SoSer....

I've got the FBK moms in flower now. I think another one of the things that was really fucking them up was malnutrition. My whole mom/veg tent was out of whack nutritionally. I was a little too focused on the flower tent and let the veg go for a bit. Changed the light temp, top fed some balance nutrition, and watered in some strong tea, and things are back in order. Basically did the same for the FBK testers but they are now flowering. Cut away some of the older growth and they are starting to looking normal. Another week or so and they'll be up to snuff with the rest of the garden.

Let the hype train begin. . .Flower tent is at max density. Rare Dankness Long's Peak Blue are a few weeks in, and the Tahoe Alien F2 just got flipped. It wouldn't be cannahype in 2012 without a cut of the GSC 'forum cut' to round things out. Just as ripe but with out the hype are the Golden Lion FBKs. Hoping for another great success!
