My wife and I were out in the garden and she said.
"Look at all that Greencrack you let ruin"
I said..Uhhh
"That's an experiment of mine"
I was just too lazy to cut all those little tiny worthless buds off almost two months ago.
I watched them turn purple cause it was so cold.

So today cut em
Got my camera all sticky taking these photos

Wonder what buds that have flowered for 4 months are like.
Gonna give me a headache?

Ya know I just had to share..maybe make some one laugh :dull

Hell I know one person who has jst started his harvast around here.He likes his 100% amber.

Wow, Curious to see how this smokes.. A bud can get overripe persay. The resin glands will fill and swell to the point they break and thc begins to degrade. Should be some fire there tho. Have to fill us in on the results :)

thanks for the replies guys

I will give a smoke report in a few days, maybe a week :)

Look in a scope or loop and look for black trechoms. This is what happends when trechomes over ripen. They turn from amber to black and THC goes down as they do that. It is possible to get nearly 100% amber and have fare THC with high CBC and CBD rates with very purple late season weed. But the more `Black `ones you see the less over all effect it will have. This process stops when dryed. Curing ferther drys the medication but has little effect on the glands. It makes the vegitive part of the buds more smooth to smoke. In time THC degrades ,slowly after cure ,with storage. Indica dom buds degrade faster while sativa buds slightley improve THC content to a point ,then start to degrade also. Heat while in storage will also contribute to THC degrading somewhat and excess mosture can cause mold to develope which causes degrading of THC. Besides flavor and degrading of THC most mold has little effect on peoples health as we breath mold spores in the air all the time.Maybe pounds of it are ingested over a year`s time without much effect on a normal person`s health. It can cause health difficulty in person`s with lung problems or an immune system disfunction. There are some spore that are very rare that could be unhealthy to a normal person like you hear getting in humid homes. This is very rare and unlikely in marijuana buds and you could smell it right off because of the foul smell it causes. Not likely anyone would ever smoke bud in that condition .However It is best if mold spore rates are kept at a min. Check close on those buds for any gathered growing mold spore. If you don`t see any then it can be assumed the spore rate is low.Regardless of anything you have heard mold spore is always in all agro products to some extent, that apllies to indoor grown as well as out door grown. It`s in the air( we breath) just looking for the right enviroment to take root.Lots of other alergins as well but that`s another story for later. PS if you have small children don`t tell them about the micobe world before bed time! Especially dust mites that live in our rugs, sheets, fabrics and pellows!:confused0054:

yummmmm. that looks really tastey!! i love when the trich are mostly amber, i harvest at 50/50 cloudy/amber. I let one Afghani Kush get all amber(80-90% never 100%) once a year. gives me about 2 oz's of some killer night meds. It is REALLY HEAVY smoke, def not 4 daytime...makes me retarded and KO'd in minutes. Better than any ambien or ANY presciption sleep pills.
Where can I find Green Crack in seed form??
peace ya'll

Hiya Kes
I don't think you can get it in seeds...maybe some crosses?..
......or maybe someone recreated it?

I think its clone only and I know there are several variety's claiming to be GC
some Idica dom and some sativa dom

I had both last season

I made some GC X HG seeds
I don't have time or room to try those right now though.

I have just a few Green Crack in seed form in my collection so it must be out there. When I get set up again some day i can give em a try and repraduce them, but then they are untested seeds from a Humbolt County grower that`s not a professional. I`ve never grow the strain but my epirence was everything about it was great except the high didn`t seem to last to long.

Mysterious bud discoloration etc

Outdoor grow australia

I had some issues with budrot which has been removed I believe. We had a lot of rain almost continuously over the last couple weeks here with temperates in the mid 20s degrees c in the day. I sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and then later purecrop1; https://www.purecrop1.com/. This was about a week ago and since then I’ve sprayed a weak mix of the two together with water daily

As said the budrot seems to be resolved but one of the plants which had the most removed and received the most spraying is showing some stress and I’d appreciate any ideas on what may be the cause. Any questions please ask! Thank you in advance

There could be bud rot in there.

Tug on the fan leaves that stick out of the cola. If they pull out easily, there's bud rot.

Thanks for the reply mate. I forgot to mention i couldnt see any rot or much discoloring at all inside the buds; the leaves didnt pull out easy either

Hi, I'm a beginner and a little worried about this lady here... :-(
I've closely examined some of these brown buds and using a magnifier, couldn't find anything that looks like fungus. Also cut them open and while the outside is brown, it doesn't look rotten inside. Anyone experienced the same and has an opinion on this?
THANKS!!!

Different plant, different looks, same question... This is a Sweet Cheese XL auto. Maybe I'm a little over-careful, but I was wondering if this is just a lot of sugar or something less healthy (powdery mildew...? But then I would have expected it to be on the leaves. The lowest leaves showed very early signs of mildew a while ago, but I had treated it with Neem-oil, seemingly successfully...).

Most buds don't show these white areas, but the top collar. If it's a fungus, can I still use the rest of the plant? This new hobby really holds more excitement than expected ;-I !

Hey all, first grow and first post here. I'm near the end of flower, planning on doing the chop in a couple days. Today i noticed a couple buds with some browning, not so healthy looking sugar leaves right at the top of the buds on one of my 3 plants. The affected leaves were also starting to curl up, and were fairly stiff.

I chopped them off and dissected them, there was a maybe a little bit of brown on the inside but they we not mushy or brittle like i've read bud rot can be, and no visible signs of white mold. I thought maybe its overripe since this one matured a little faster than the other 2, although the trichomes are not overly amber (maybe i'm just trying to convince myself its not bud rot).

Like i said, i'll be harvesting them in a couple days and hanging them in the tent to dry and then i'm off to the lake for 5 days, so i can't keep an eye on them to watch out for mold during the drying process. I'm pretty concerned that if this does look like the start of bud rot, that there could be more hiding in other buds that might spread to the other 2 plants during the drying process.

Any insight to what this looks like to people would be great, as well as any advice on how to handle the situation. Thanks!
