Peat Base And Lime

Hello Farmers, I was just thinking about Peat base medium that is heavily mix with lime, is there really a need to PH the water. To my understanding lime is supposed to neutralize the soil.

Maybe I’m just overthinking it, or I could be just wrong what do you Farmers think.

It really depends on your water. You want to keep the growing medium in the 6-7 range for optimal nutrient uptake. So whatever it takes to get there is what you’ll need to do.

I think i will skip the PH adjustment for awhile

Just keep an eye on what your plants tell you and your soils ph and you’ll be fine. You may find that you’ll need to ph adjust your water or you might not. Won’t know until you try it.
