Weekly update, this one Cherry Bomb is doing well in her daytime home. Planted 6 sprouts from my seeds 1 has sprouted secondary leaves and is slowly coming along the others have no secondary and look just about dead. I put the 1 which came from a Bubba Kush into a solo cup.Added a bit of protection for her in my folk art greenhouse. Gotta protect against the bugs!
Sept 9 Hurricane Dorian shut my power off for 30 hrs and I wasn't able to give them any light until the storm died some 20 hrs later, they don't look like it bothered them too much. A little concerned for the little ones but they look fine to me. I'll be giving them 24hrs light from now on, 10 -11 -12 out doors and the rest in weather depending.Weekly update, this one Cherry Bomb is doing well in her daytime home. I had to break down and buy some seeds KC Brains seeds $45cdn 5 pack. I'm germinating 3 - KC 39 now due to our 4 plant laws, hoping at least 2 pop.
Pulled from web site " K.C. 39® is a joint breeding project of Spanish seed selectors and K.C. Brains. We’ve crossed the most potent Spanish seeds with K.C. 606 and created an easy growing stable hybrid suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Being mostly indica, her seeds produce dark green plants which can go bushy under optimal conditions " .............
" K.C. 39® is considered as one of the greatest yielder among all known marijuana strains. Indica medical marijuana plants typically grow faster than their sativa counter partners. K.C. 39® flowering period lasts just 7-9 weeks indoors and up to 11 weeks outdoors spreading a very nice citrus-hash fragrance around. Fully mature buds have more intense smell; they are big and sturdy and are covered with white sticky hair full of THC. K.C. 39® marijuana is said to be one of the strongest strains, THC content is as high as 20%. Medicine produced from K.C. 39® cannabis indica plants have higher CBD and lower THC counts, therefore, she produces a heavier, relaxing effect. "

Out of the 3 KC39 seeds I germinated only 2 popped and they're up in lightly fertilized peat pods and into solo cups.
I keep topping and tying down the lone Cherry Bomb, it's going to out grow my little green house soon so modifications are in its future. I'm not turning her until the other 3 catch up in 2 -3 months. I hope I can get a bunch of clones off her to keep this strain alive. I've had 0 luck with cloning over the last while I'm going to have to improve my technique. I was able to clone in the past I'm not sure whats gone wrong, I'll have to attribute it to age and too much refer, with that in mind I won't hold out to much hope on my future cloning success.
Thanks for that! I'll follow his method. In the past I had about 50% success just cutting on a 45 dipping the cutting in rooting powder and planting in small 2oz solo cups with Promix, putting them in a prop dome & 2 weeks later I had growing clones. Over the last few try's all my cutting failed to root so I tried peat pods and nothing grew so I've had to buy seeds to replenish my jars. It could be old rooting powder but gees something should have taken. I've even tried just dropping them into water and let them root like other plant cuttings do but no success there either. I'm afraid age & over consumption is catching up to me (lol) it shouldn't be this fking hard. I mean fk cloning isn't rocket science this trained monkey should be able to do it.Here is a good tutorial, might help get you back on track.
Weelky update Sept 15 Alls good no hurricanes this week Lots of debris picked up and downed trees dealt with. Nice growth on my Cherry Bomb its filling my greenhouse I've tied all limbs down and I'll continue to top every single stalk when I'm able to.Thanks for that! I'll follow his method. Thanks again, I'll have lots of opportunities for cloning this time as I'll have a few months to take cuttings from her until the others catch up in size.

Weekly update Sept 27 all was good until a few issues popped up yesterdayBubble Cloning: Techniques , Tips & Tricks
First time bubble cloning, I made this bubble cloner several years ago but have never used it I run into a cloning issue with a white fuzz in the spring and the fall quite frequently, and I have recently, so this bubble cloner is what I'm going to use until late fall I suspect I could...www.thcfarmer.com
you can use honey instead of aloeWeekly update Sept 27 all was good until a few issues popped up yesterday
1 somewhere over the past 2 months I split the main stalk approx 1" long down the center, its all hardened up and there's no fresh plant material showing. fffaaaaaak I did it again doesn't anything ever goes smoothly? I took the pressure off the tie downs and will stake it up so there's no more movement or spitting. I was advised to apply some aloe on the crack and lightly tape it, I'll try that when I get myself down to the big city and find them fancy ingredients, out here in the country the closest I can come to that would be margarine and I'm sure that just wouldn't cut it. Other than that it was a fine fking week.
My Bubba Kush is growing well and I'm about to split her when there's just a little more separation, I guess cutting my Cherry Bomb too close caused it to split.
I transplanted both of my KC 39 into larger pots and they immediately seemed to jump in size. I gave them their first real feeding with a 1.25/1.25/1.25 / gal mixture of General Hydroponics 3 part flora system.
I've also noted some spottiness on the leaves ofView attachment 899251 my Cherry Bomb along with the split and I believe it to be p/h issues. so I'll attend to that better. I'll also be taking clones off her soon so I want the p/h issues dealt with first.
I tried germinating with honey instead of rooting gel / powder and had no luck. I've heard I need real honey and not the fake honey but even fake honey says its 100% pure honey as in the stuff in the plastic bear. We have some brown honey we bought at costco says 100% pure organic mixed from 4 different countries bee's & cost it a bunch for quart of the stuff lol WTFK's whats real these days with fake news and all. If I use the wrong stuff it will probably do more harm than good....no? I've googled how to tell real from fake and this stuff is split 50/50 with some symptoms saying its real like no lumps and smooth flow and swirls around a spoon in the proper fashion and others like a caramel smell ( wife says molasses ) and a fast air bubble indicates its fake. lolyou can use honey instead of aloe
Okay so I went out today locally to get 100% honey or 100% aloe and neither are available ( not completely unexpected ). Tuesday we'll head into Halifax and surely we can find something. I'll hit the Grow shop for some new rooting gel and maybe pick up an aloe vera plant for future fk ups somewhere. Living out in the boonies has its benefits but simple things or items that we need can be a fking pain.I tried germinating with honey instead of rooting gel / powder and had no luck. I like the cheap powder but when I started Bubble cloning I read somewhere or someone said that the gels clung better in water so I got a bottle of gel but I don't really know if they are better than the powders?? ..and the powders are about a third of the price tooOkay so I went out today locally to get 100% honey or 100% aloe and neither are available ( not completely unexpected ). there are tons by the looks of it,
find a bee farmer, I get boxes of honey for work I do for them
I'll find out what's available on Tuesday. I have some powder but I think its way past its best before date and I've had zero luck using it in cloning lately so I'm looking for something new.I like the cheap powder but when I started Bubble cloning I read somewhere or someone said that the gels clung better in water so I got a bottle of gel but I don't really know if they are better than the powders?? ..and the powders are about a third of the price too
Have you dealt with a split main stalk in the past? If so did you tape it together, wire it,tywrap or just leave it after treating it with aloe/honey/other?you can use honey instead of aloe
Never, but I broke a couple of smaller branches, I've just taped them back together or used the little wires-ties & tied them together til they've healed up but I don't know the procedure with a main stem, but I would think getting it sealed up and put back together as soon as possible, whether or not you had anything to put on it would be Paramount in that situation ?Have you dealt with a split main stalk in the past? I finely found an Aloe Vera plant today so I'm going to squeeze some its juices into the crack and tape it up with electrical tape and prop up the stems to prevent it from splitting more. Its always something.Never, but I broke a couple of smaller branches, I've just taped them back together or used the little wires-ties & tied them together til they've healed up but I don't know the procedure with a main stem, but I would think getting it sealed up and put back together as soon as possible, whether or not you had anything to put on it would be Paramount in that situation ?
Yes lots of people clone with it! search and you'll see, Ive never tried it but I've seen it used many times and never heard a bad thing about it? I've always used the white powder until I switched to Bubble cloning about six months ago when I got some of the gel type, so that's been my experience with cloning products so farI finely found an Aloe Vera plant today so I'm going to squeeze some its juices into the crack and tape it up with electrical tape and prop up the stems to prevent it from splitting more. If aloe with its healing properties have you ever tried or heard of cloning with it? I think I'll give it a try wtf I'm hoping to get some proper gel/powder at the grow shop Tuesday but while I'm fking with it today I'll think try a couple of cuttings, stick them in a dome and see what happens.
I rethought the cuttings now, I think I'll let the crack heal up a bit before I stress it any more. I took a couple of sm lower branches off before I paused and thought about it. I used some of the aloe on them and stuck them in some soil hope for the best.Yes lots of people clone with it! search and you'll see, Ive never tried it but I've seen it used many times and never heard a bad thing about it?
