My plant looked great… I topped it, it was growing vigorously. I moved it outdoors. Bugs hated it. All was good.

A week ago, I accidentally snapped a top off. Major bummer, but it was fine.

I check on it today, and it’s lookin’ at me like I killed its twin. Scared and depressed.

I’ve been letting nature handle this one for the most part. Using Gaia green 4-4-4 and some worm castings in promix.

Not sure why it got so wilty in 24 hours.

It was overcast yesterday, and a bit cool, but not plant-killing cool. It should have adequate potassium anyway if it catches a bright/hot stretch.. I can’t imagine the rain has been enough to give it root rot.. humidity yesterday was like 65, which is lower than it has been.

Any ideas?

Mine always droop just before sunset. Could be the cool n clouds, if they've been subject to high temps, lately. Just a guess

Unfortunately this was around noon. And she looks the same, if not worse today.

I figured if it’s root rot, it’s toast, so I gave it a splash of water with some potassium tea, but didn’t perk it up. The plant was absolutely gorgeous a week ago. Thought I knocked this one out of the park 😩

I doubt there's a root problem. It might be getting too much sun, or it can't pull enough moisture from the soil. The leaf color looks good, and I can't see signs of any nutrient problems. Another picture with better focus would be helpful. Anyway, the first thing I'd do is put it in some shade during the hottest part of the day. That should reduce stress on the plant and help it recover.

Leaves look really dark with a few clawng tips, normally means too much N. If soil is dry, give it just plain water for a couple rounds. I like to use Recharge if I am worried about the roots

Is the bottom of the pot wet? If Water didn’t help it, don’t water it for a week and see what happens! Just two cents! Under watering is fixed within an hour! Overwatering can take several days!

How hot is it there, that looks like a small pot for an out door plant. I like 20 gallon pots or bigger
Me too! Small dark colored pots are a ticket to a hot route zone! Although that perlite will help with that a little!

Gia green 4 4 4 is well balanced. Why was the EWC put in? Looks like a nitrogen issue to me and that's pretty hard to do Organic.
I would also look for wet feet. Bottom 3 inches. I would peel a bit of the pot back to look. Have duct tape handy to repair.

Looks like nitrogen toxicity to me. Repot it and you can probably use the old dirt later as a top dress fertilizer.

As newbie I didn’t consider pot size choice being different outdoors. I wasn’t sure which plants would stay in the tent and which would go outside so I planted in what I thought would be their final pots. It’s a 3 gallon. Most days it’s around 75 degrees, with the occasional 68 night or 82 day.

Just following a soil recipe. No wet feet as far as I can tell.
