Hello Growers,

Last Monday (12/15), I planted two Platinum OG auto seeds that I got for free from a previous order. I intended to plant the originally ordered seeds first, but I had the space for two pots and therefore plants, so it worked out conveniently.

Last Sunday (9/21), the first seed began to sprout. I've been watering both pots with filtered R/O water from an automatic sprayer since directly planting into coco coir.

The second seed didn't germinate until today (12/24), so until this morning, I was a bit doubtful of the "plant-directly-into-the-medium" method.

I just chopped a Northern Lights photoperiod, which I am currently curing. With these being my first autoflowers, what differences other than their switch from vegetative to flowering should I expect?

I've grown about a half dozen autos and can't say I've had as much success as I'd like. I've averaged about an ounce and a half. I used organic nutrients and that's probably what mostly limited my success. I have a few ideas about growing them, though, but others with more experience with them probably have better ideas. Anyway, here goes...

Autos grow rapidly and probably would do well with synthetic nutrients, because synthetics are more rapidly available to the plant. Autos like plenty of light, as well. The key, I think, is to get the best growth possible during their short vegetation stage. It's important, however, not to overly stress them because there isn't much time to recover.

Got it. So lots of light, synthetic fertilizers, very low-stress training (if any), and a little luck?
